Can I use a b-body gas tank on my C body?

In 2000, there was a posting on some goofy new startup called Ebay for a used "1970 C body fuel tank". I bought it for $70 back when Ebay didn't have a return policy. I still don't know what car this tank is for. The original tank was more wide and flat. It fits and works but there was a...

    Heavy Metal

Wärtsilä-Sulzer RTA96-C. Worlds largest diesel engine. I stand corrected. Finland is a silly place too.

Americans are driving tanks...We're a silly country. (Medium Sherman tank vs 2021 Cadillac Escalade, but true for Ford F150, Denali, RAM, Hummer etc.)

1971 Imperial by Chrysler and Its Unintentional, Paisley-Patterned Top

These youngsters don't get that having optional choices doesn't = fail. Back before the "jellybean era" which started in the 90's and continues today where most cars look the same inside and out, auto manufacturers had a wide variety of cosmetics, drivetrains and packages. Almost 1/3 of people...

Insurance rates skyrocket. What are you paying?

1970 Chrysler 300 Hurst - $270 per yr. Full insurance but 4 mo in storage. (in 2022, I was only paying $180). 2013 Lincoln - $430 per yr. Full ins (2021 - $320) I'm not complaining since I live in a cheap city but I feel bad for others. Other than inflation, I found out new type of fraud...

    2013-2019 Ram 2500/3500 - Cummins agrees to pay 1.67 Billion...weird story.

    1) Why would Cummins install "defeat" emission devices for customers? 2) How did Cummins think they can get away with doing this for 630K vehicles? 3) (I'm paraphrasing) Cummins acted as "Yeah, we'll pay 1.67 Billion, but no big deal. It doesn't hurt us at all" That's weird too. I guess...

    Something you don’t see often

It's a beautiful CANADIAN bridge. Anyone know the story of this bridge? USA didn't have much to do with it other than almost 30yrs of delays and trying to cancel it. It's crazy how much control some billionaires have over us and state governments. To finally resolve it, Canadian govt said...

    Washer Bottle Restoration

If Darth's idea doesn't work, then try to find a new one or just go with what you have. Yellow plastic from a hot engine usually = fragile and brittle. Mine fell apart.

    Give My Creature LIFE!!!

Yeah, took me awhile too. My heater/ac works but not as Mopar designed it, but I'm not going to take out the dash to fix it. Good for you man!

Is anyone else depressed looking at new vehicles?

I'm glad I'm almost 60 so I don't have to deal with future's new tech. Every year for the last 30yrs, average of 40,000 dead, over 2 million to the hospital each year. Sounds like a war, but its vehicle crashes in the USA. New tech isn't reducing crashes, I think its causing them by false...

Did French owned Mopar come up with a silly idea? 2025 Ramcharger

Thanks Mike for the info. Yes, hydrogen has problems, however hydrogen has much more potential than the glass ceiling of batteries. The more power they squeeze out of batteries, the more dangerous they are. You see this in the real world. The more electric cars, the more electric utilities...

    The Largest Car Ever Made

Technically, the longest production vehicle ever made was the Cadillac Series 75. GM said the 1973 Cadillac Series 75 was a "9 passenger sedan". Never termed a limousine although that's what most people used it for. And it was a production model, not a stretched version.

Is anyone else depressed looking at new vehicles?

I'm sure most of you have heard of drive by wire which replaces any mechanical connection of the steering wheel to the tires which came out in 2020 and now is standard on more 2024 cars. (Tesla, Lexus, Ferrari, etc). Its actually a Toyota invention but Tesla seems to be taking credit for it...

Did French owned Mopar come up with a silly idea? 2025 Ramcharger

There's just too many major problems. Hoping they will solve these but engineers have already said electric cars are as safe as they can make them. Ship set afire shipping electric cars. - Sure it happens with gasoline vehicles too, but they're able to put it out....plus they're not breathing...

Did French owned Mopar come up with a silly idea? 2025 Ramcharger

Thanks Mike, I didn't know some of that stuff. Still you have to agree batteries are just another stop gap measurement. Lithium - If all vehicles were lithium, run out in 150yrs with another 150yrs digging deep into earth...still 300yrs is pretty good. Hydrogen - If all vehicles were...

Is anyone else depressed looking at new vehicles?

I apologize. It's my negative style of humor. I don't want to make anyone mad, just trying to be funny. ...but you have to agree some designers just come up with silly useless ideas? In pic, air vents are solid so you can't move them by hand. You have to do this....That's just silly, more...

Is anyone else depressed looking at new vehicles?

Maybe its just me? I've been looking for a new car. I feel new cars are more dangerous (due to all the distractions built in), more work to operate and makes everyone's life slower. I know modern cars have much better suspensions, frames, rust prevention so that great, but todays goofy...

Did French owned Mopar come up with a silly idea? 2025 Ramcharger

Thanks for the info Mike. Not saying you're wrong but where did you get that info? Because energy density of batteries is far lower than hydrogen. I agree with you that making hydrogen using the electrical grid would be very inefficient...but batteries are already very inefficient. Hydrogen...

    Tailight emulation...a source of flattery.

Lots of cars have that triangle look. I think designers have run out of ideas. Almost all cars have the same jelly bean design. If the badges on the Infiniti were changed to Mercedes, would anyone notice? The side view of trucks haven't changed since 1957. Designers just keep making rims...
