    Need a bit of help!

Good point, I was trying to stay within a budget. The original miles were 71,000. I dont plan on ripping on it or racing it, more or less a nice street cruiser. If I could locate 2 piston heads STD. Size for the 65 318 A series engine NOS or used in good condition that would be awesome

Hey guys, so if you follow my other threads you knowni am rebuilding a 318 poly out of a 1965 Plymouth Fury. I started to put the bottom end back together and moved on to installing the piston rings once the crank and everything was back in. I was installing the oil ring on piston 5 and noticed...

    Blocking heat crossover

Hey guys and gals hope all is well! Had a quick question. On blocking the heat crossover on my 1965 318 poly head. Mechanical or hydraulic, that is the question.

Awesome thank you! This is good knowledge! We ran into issues with a shop that had put in a cam in my father in laws 66 charger which also has the poly 318, they thought it was a regular 318 and we were like nah its poly and we couldn't stress it enough, so the cam isn't going to work with it...

Mechanical or hydraulic, that is the question.

Ok, good to know. The car ill be working on is a 1965 fury II. I bought it needing a valve job, so we are going to mill the heads while we are at it clean up all the valve seats, port and polish heads, looking a going with a 264/.450" (222@.050") 110LC solid cam. Along with some other things...

Mechanical or hydraulic, that is the question.

I will be using Gary Pavlovichs' guide to build a hot stock stroke 318 poly. Obviously when the engine is apart things that are deemed a necessary replacement will be. You can look at it like a budget build I guess

Mechanical or hydraulic, that is the question.

Hey there, hope you all are doing well! I am planning on building a "hot stock stoke" 318 poly. My question is since these engines come with a solid cam should I keep it that way? Or goe with hydraulic cam and lifters? What are come of the pros and cons to both? What is more durable? Which has...
