WARNING -DON'T DO THIS TO YOUR WASHER RESERVOIR!!!

I'm not 100% familiar with all the different types, but if we're talking about a bottle that would be right for a 72 Newport I'd be VERY interested.

72 Newport - Instrument Panel Advice Needed

Thanks for your advice guys. Got it fixed today. All it took was a little blood (literally), sweat (only a little, because it was close to freezing outside), and tears (well, almost). It took a long time but my finger tips are now intimately familiar with the shape of the speedometer cable...

    72 Newport now in Germany

Hi Georg From time to time I browse the internet looking for 2 door Mopars of that period and this one just caught my eye. Plus, it was very close to me. Ended up going for a look and buying it.

72 Newport - Instrument Panel Advice Needed

Replaced some warning light bulbs in instrument panel yesterday which went ok. Then I decided to try and remove the instrument panel completely so I could take as look at the clock that doesn't work. I removed all the visible screws at the top and underneath (visible through the square holes)...

    72 Newport now in Germany

Sorry for the late reply, but here are a couple of pics as requested, showing the interior, the glove box and the trunk light. I'm assuming the lights are standard and not part of any option package. I've also attached a picture of the trunk floor after I put the bedliner on. It's obviously not...

    72 Newport now in Germany

I won't be able to do that before the weekend unfortunately. But there is a light mounted to the trunk lid and in the glovebox if that's the reason for your question. Does that help?

    72 Newport now in Germany

Thanks very much! I think the photos look better than the reality to be honest, but it's good enough for what I want and hasn't been messed with. It hasn't got a lot of options, but that's fine for me. If it isn't there, it can't break! :-) These are the options on the fender tag: E63: 400-2...

    An hour in the Trunk

Thanks for the recommendations. Priming and painting is my job for tomorrow. I'll probably finish it off with some bedliner for the centre section. I've looked for a replacement mat here in Germany but without success. So I've cut my own out of a piece of carpet. If I'm hearing you right it...

    An hour in the Trunk

Sorry I didn't take a before picture. I used one of those sanding discs on a grinder.

    An hour in the Trunk

Tidying up my new to me 72 Newport whenever I get a bit of time. Today I worked on getting rid of the surface rust in the trunk. An hour of sanding got me to this point. Not too bad I think for such an old unrestored car from Pennsylvania.

Moin Bremen! :) . Yep, I've had a look at the Web Site for Stade and it looks great. Looking forward to meeting up. I'll probably feel a bit self conscious about parking my car among all those pricey E and B bodies but I can compensate with bulk! :) I don't think the car really "needs" any work...

Thanks for the offer Carsten! I'm looking forward to getting out next year and visiting some of them. We had a fantastic summer here this year and I'm hoping that 2019 might be the same!

Thanks a lot for the info! I'm still pretty new to the scene so any information on contacts and meetings is very welcome. And Stade is pretty close to me! :-)

    72 Newport now in Germany

Well I didn't import the car myself so I never met the previous owner. But he was the second owner and had had it since 76. It was located in York. After crossing the Atlantic it had some work done to make it street legal for Europe (mainly lights and brakes) and all the documentation done for...

    72 Newport now in Germany

Hi all. Thought I'd share this with you. I bought this Newport a few weeks back (my first old US car). It spent all its life in Pennsylvania and was shipped to Germany this year. I'm the third owner. Got it registered with historic tags (much cheaper to tax and insure). Took it out for her first...

    Welcome Xlratr to FCBO!

Didn't realise there was a welcome thread so I've only seen this now. Thanks! Had the car a few weeks now and I've just been tidying it up a bit. It isn't perfect but it is pretty solid. I think she's a good'un! :-)
