    15” Tires for my ‘62 300 - Thoughts?

Those 300G wheel covers don't need nubs on the wheel to hold them on. But I have had problems putting those same covers on mid 70's steel wheels, too tight just like you said.

    15” Tires for my ‘62 300 - Thoughts?

OK, finally switched out the original 14” rolling stock for new Nexen AH5 whitewall 235/75/15s. Wheels are mid 70s. 15” OEM road/rally wheels that I sandblasted and painted topped w/ Nice set of 300 G wheel covers. While the wheel covers fit the later 15s” , they are a bit tight on the rim, and...

    NOT MINE 1971 Imperial 2-door.

This car is tugging at me for some reason, perhaps because I never really considered owning an Imperial. Lack of title, the distance, lack of indoor storage space, and insufficient attention to the cars I already have are 4 obstacles I cannot easily sidestep. But this car would've looked great...

    NOT MINE 1970 Plymouth fury 3 $7,500

Holy blast from the past, Batman! I did not harvest any info on this one. There were no 360s in 1970, and no 340s in C-bodies, so presumably this carries a 318.

    What makes an engine “buck?”

Put a timing light on it where you can see it through the windshield, drive the car.

NOT MINE Green W/White Top 1969 300 ‘Vert On Marketplace, $5,000. Frederickberg VA.

The lower rear quarters (at least on the passenger side) look clean. Assuming the photo is recent, I am surprised that it has not sold.

CATL 2024: C-bodies At The Lake on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024 ("hub-and-spoke" to the Studebaker Museum in South Bend, IN)

Good Afternoon Just got off the phone with the Hampton Inn & Suites in Michigan City (approx 33 miles from South Bend. They have approx a dozen room available for 7-8 Sept. Rates are a little south of $200 (depending on taste). I'm sure that taxes are NOT included. Hope this helps...

Why are parts stores part # for 1970 300 440 upper radiator hose wrong?

@david hill and I ran into this issue when fixing my 1970 300 TNT 'vert. I initially ordered a Gates 20630, which was said to listed as compatible for a 440 with A/C and indeed worked very well on Medina, my 1971 T-code Monaco (also with A/C; installation in 2021). Well, it did not fit on the...

Why are parts stores part # for 1970 300 440 upper radiator hose wrong?

I went to 3 parts stores. 1 said they don't make it anymore. 1 gave me Dayco#70592 which doesn't fit and the other said Gates part number is C70592 which looked like the wrong part# so I didn't order it. The only help I found was this picture in another forum with someone that put a 440 in...

    floor shifter linkage bushings

As I was changing my shift shaft seal on my 68 New Yorker, I noticed the linkage bushing on the transmission was kind of janky. I looked one up, $34 for a plastic bushing? I didn't have a lot to do today and had some oil impregnated bronze I had used to make some bushings for an older...

    My Hurst project

Wow, you're going all the way. Cool. I did mine the amateur backyard mechanic way fixing stuff without tearing it down.... and on a shoestring budget. I got it on Ebay with winning bid of $1000 in 2003. A few things still aren't perfect and I'm kind of still working on it, oh well. Keep...

Again, not exactly true. As long as there are current main-frame computers that use giant rolls of tape, a program can be written for them to read any previous generation tape. That's how I found out there were 13 ' 70 JS27R
