    Hard Braking

A "hard pedal" sounds like a plugged vac line to the power brake booster. If it was a bad diaphram or a hole in the vac hose, two things would happen when stepping on the brake. Harder pedal and an engine miss when doing so, with the engine miss going away when the pedal is released. it does...

    John Force Wreck

I just looked up and watched the McTavish wreck. I had never seen that one. Yes, quite horrible. A matter of history here that struck me: this was 1969, yet a large number of the cars were from 1966. I guess drivers really did hate the newer body designs.

Least expensive way to bright headlights?

Yes, the halogens do use more power, so I would NOT use the halogen bulbs unless the relay conversion described above is in place.

Why are parts stores part # for 1970 300 440 upper radiator hose wrong?

Thank you for suggesting this procedure, which is exactly what I do for every Gates hose I need -- but in this case it does not work. What you did is what I did for Medina back in 2021 (which worked, see here), and for the TNT one and one half year later (which did not work, see here). In both...

That Dutch panel fit is interesting. I have to dig mine out, but I could swear the ‘73 panel is a perfect fit for my ‘70 300 coupe. What car is that off of?

    Hard Braking

My '66 Sport Fury still has power drum brakes. Front and rear. The brake pedal is extremely hard to push. The car does stop but not quickly. Brake travel is very short. Where do I start? Bleeding the brakes; new brake lines; new master cylinder or what? Yes, disc brakes would be nice but not...
