The panel is out of a 72 Newport that was clean . I thought 69-73 2 door hardtops were all the same . I found out they aren't so the fabrication begins .

Continental took the place of Goodyear. All part numbers stayed the same. The 60664 is the right hose for the at least 69-73 C bodies. In around 72 they added another hose 60621, that will work equally well. It looks different than the 60664 but fits very nicely.

I knew about 1955 LeMans race. Saw a newsreel on it years ago, but recall THAT was a horrific one. Shrapenal, fire, .... like a WWII battlefield. Fans right on top of track. No fences, inadequate barriers. Totally unsafe for spectators AND drivers. Fpimd video, pics below. Nothing grisly.

Might be the alternator. Take the belt off and run the car to see if the sound goes away. Obviously, don't run it very long, but a minute or two won't hurt.

Are you aware of what Wheels I would need to find that would fit those 300G wheel covers? I was curious if later 60s 15 inch C body wheels might work better? Steve weim55 Colorado

My own experience has been different, having replaced lower radiator hoses on 6 fusies in the past 6 years. What I got was a good fit and has had zero issue. PS: as always, check that the lower hose has an anti-collapse spring (or add one).

the most dangerous circuit .. which I didnt know until 20 years after, and that was 25 years ago, was Formula One in the 1970's. We sponsored F1 when I was ex-pat in Europe in the 90's, so local people were "thrilled" to regale me with the gory details. I am not mentioning any drivers' names...

Bottom hoses are now pieces of garbage as well in my experience. They don't correctly bend around the oil filter and don't fit or make it dang near impossible to r&r the filter. Why would you expend energy to change something that worked? Is there some Chevy hose that is 'almost' the same as...

Thanks. Engine does not miss while braking or stopped. It's always been hard but getting worse.
