My experience is more a list of people telling me why whatever I asked about is a "terrible idea" any all the reasons I'll hate it and sell the car. Then one guy who has actually done the thing I'm asking about come along and tells me it'll be a great time. Feel free to look at my post history...

Stub frame front shim thickness 1967 slab cars

In looking in the 1966 Chrysler FSM ages ago, I noticed that some "shims" between the stub frame and body structure were termed "Insulators". Which led me to believe, back then, that perhaps the "Insulators" had a rubber coating on them to prevent direct "noise" transfer paths from the stub...

    Chrysler Big Block redline??

Thanks. This was an old video, this is the current air cleaner setup. A bit "butchered" but I didn't like the thought of cutting a hole through the hood, so the core support was cut instead. And the idea of the engine sucking in hot engine compartment air was a no bueno.

My late machine shop operative, back in the 1980s, had a poster on his office door, "17 Year Olds, Leave Home NOW While You Know Everything". Modern "17 Year Olds" can still be the same now as then, ONLY thing is that we who used to be that young, have lived with these cars from when they were...

What did you score at Carlisle

What cool stuff did you get at the swap meet this year? I scored a very nice 1972 parts catalog. This thing is worth every penny.

Welp, just curious. Never shipped a car. How long does it take to get a shipping estimate?

1971 Fury GT, Gold, Promo Car

I had some attachment, but I bought the car partly to keep Dan Corley from parting it. Satifaction is, I saved the car. Now that it has welded front subframe, rebuilt suspension and brakes, I don't think anyone would dream of parting it. Also, Rob has the resources and parts cars to take the...

    Chrysler Big Block redline??

Yeah if you got a old engine with unknown internals... luckily I had my 440's when they were only a several years old but even at 100k plus miles with my second 1968 PK21 440 I wasn't shy to put it to the floor and hold it there. Heck as I said before with the Maryland State Police unmarked...

No surprise there. Old folks are often upset that kids don't join the hobby then treat kids that want to do kid stuff like crap. I joined a Facebook group "Ratty C Body Muscle" that seems to have everyone who would be chased off of here. Pretty much every thread where someone wants to change...

How much paint needed to do a C-body?

For a convertible 1 gallon base coat and 1/2 gallon clear coat. If you want a single stage and plan on wet sand and wheeling I would suggest 1.5 gallons. Dad always put on a little extra on cars that we were going to wet sand out all the orange peel to protect from going through the color. FYI...
