    NOT MINE FB 1967 Imperial

I now love cars like this. I blame you guys..... SHWING! The Advance Dealer Shipping Notice (ADSN) is included. Look at all the writing on there! This is not a common document and invaluable provenance for a car.

1969 Fury Convertible - Adding Headrests

A31 is likely the scheduled date and not the actual build date but it is helpful to let us know it was before the headrests became mandatory on January 1, 1969. Headrests were optional for the Fury line in the fall of 68 so, based on my experience with 69 Coronets, you will likely find some...

NOT MINE 1972 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham in Virginia (GT8 2dr, $12.5k ask)

Online decoders certainly save time but contain erroneous information. Use them responsibly. 411 Scheduled Production date. Likely not the actual date of assembly. V5T already corrected.

The folks at Chrysler Product Planning and corporate structure would see it differently.

    1966 Chryser 300 fender tag

Plymouths and Dodges were built at different plants than C/I. Different plants code differently. Maybe St. Louis coded tinted glass but Lynch Road and Jefferson didn’t. You will have to match Jefferson broadcast sheets with the tag to verify the theory. Sales codes like that don’t vary by...

    1966 Chryser 300 fender tag

What years was tinted glass standard with a/c? What was standard may or may not be coded on the tag. What was coded at one plant may not be coded at another. In some years and at some plants, tinted glass is coded. In some years and at some plants it is not. One has to learn the year and...

NOT MINE 1967 Plymouth VIP 2-door, 10K Actual Miles, $40k, near LA California

Apparently about the same. This is only one example I slapped together. This presumes no price changes between the SPDs.

NOT MINE 1967 Plymouth VIP 2-door, 10K Actual Miles, $40k, near LA California

No. The grid is from the Dodge data book. I inserted the VIP name and price as a comparison for market competition and price point to illustrate the VIP was a lower price point than the Monaco. The cars are not ranked in any perceived 'order'. It's just a list of make, nameplates and...

NOT MINE 1967 Chrysler Newport Coupe $22,500 Hebron, OH

Different plants coded differently. Many plants coded the top paint code whether the car had a vinyl top or not. Y/6 = black vinyl top.

NOT MINE 1968 Plymouth VIP 4-door hardtop, barn find, 34k miles, 318, Hamburg, Pennsylvania

Actually, it was the opposite especially on the lower end price competitive cars like Plymouths. Chrysler wanted to give you lots of options and price flexibility. Just keep checking the boxes until your pocketbook ran out.

NOT MINE Royal Monaco police parts cars on FB, near Philly PA.

I'd be interested in the fender tags, (or pictures of the tags) broadcast sheets, window stickers or any other factory documents you come across.
