    Vintage Police Cars

These pictures were taken in downtown Pittsburgh in 1970, when the cars were virtually new- a Fury state trooper car & a city police Ford with the trooper car in the background.

1967 Imperial Master Cylinder, Fire Wall Rubber Flap, Canister Back of Engine

Original master cylinders can be rebuilt. Rebuild kits are not currently made but old kits can be found. The replacement masters that are available are physically different from the originals. The bodies & lids are not interchangeable. If you don't have an original, finding one could be costly...

Rear axle won’t fully seat on drivers side

Nothing should be wobbling, perhaps you bent a wheel? Sheet metal damage should have no affect on the axle. A hard hit on the axle could wreak havoc & even mess up the housing. If everything you say is good then there's only one possibility left. You must have a sure-grip carrier (aka limited...

Rear axle won’t fully seat on drivers side

If the bearings were replaced & the collar was not pressed on all the way, it will do that. The press must be cranked down fully until it is stopped and there is no more movement.

NOT MINE 1965 Chrysler 300L Conv., 413/4-spd. (Mecum; No Reserve; Jan. 14)

Out of curiosity I checked out the rest of the guy's collection that sold. Most of them went for bargain prices. Several seemed really high. I thought the 300 was a super deal, expected $60-80k. He had 2 B-bodies, they went high, perhaps their market is still strong. $84,700: 1964 base Fury...

NOT MINE 1968 Plymouth VIP 4-door hardtop, barn find, 34k miles, 318, Hamburg, Pennsylvania

Looks incredibly original & in great shape. Maybe someone here can steal it, hopefully not a dealer. I remember that Mark IV AC, you could freeze a house with that. https://barnfinds.com/bf-auction-1968-plymouth-vip-farm-find/

NOT MINE 1973 Dodge Polara Poss police pkg Mesa AZ

Agree with the 2.76-8-3/4, strange it was not on the tag. 1973 is not my forte but this is the best I can do from the tag- Y39 special order F58 heavy service package, rear cross member reinforcement welds F72 single key package G11 tinted glass, all H51 AC & heater L25 trunk light R11 AM...

NOT MINE 65 Chrysler wagon 4-speed!!

Having A, B, & C 3-pedal cars I can say based on the pedal width & shape of the arms that I can see, I'm 98% sure the wagon has C-body pedals. If you compare them out of the cars, A/B/C setups are drastically different & I'd say there would no way you could interchange them. The pedal pads are...

    Factory 4-Speed-C-Body-Photo-Thread

Wow, these things are growing on trees:D Very interesting, a local Pittsburgh car with very similar options to mine & also from the Belvidere plant. This one was originally buffed silver with red interior so not quite the identical twin. Notice it doesn't have the two firewall supports near the...

    What’s this on the firewall?

See post #9 here. I am 100% positive these are the correct ones. https://www.forcbodiesonly.com/mopar-forum/threads/firewall-cut-out.82362/

New to me 1965 Plymouth Fury I in South Dakota

Cool car in really nice shape! :welcome: I'd go with an original carb as used on '65 slants, Holley 1920, very reliable & economical.

Whitewalls with poverty caps - pics?

My old TNT Newport came from the factory with painted wheels, whitewalls, & the rare Chrysler caps. I really liked the looks. It also had power windows & seats. It was special ordered by a farmer in Fargo, ND.
