NOT MINE 1966 Fury III - Brantford, Ontario - $6500

Seemed like a pretty good price for a very pretty car. Fix that driver's seat and she'd be lovely! Text: "1966 plymouth Fury 3, 2 door, engine 318 poly 2 barrel, tranny 727. NO TRADES"

NOT MINE 1978 Chyrsler New Yorker - Bluewater Ontario - $5500

This seems like a good deal on a driver. I've seen it for sale for ages, and the price recently came down... I can't fit another car in my collection, unfortunately, but hopefully someone can save this one! Text: "Great shape runs mint, 400 76000 km, never winter driven stored in barn for 20...

    Correct vacuum for 360?

I don't have the fancy exhaust sniffer that the manual calls for to set idle/mixture, so I did it the old fashioned way of vacuum monitoring. The best I could get was 18 in-Hg in neutral at ~ 980 rpm. This then drops to 14 in-Hg and 750 rpm in drive. It's very smoot in neutral, but still shakes...

Chirping sound, and where to get rear drums?

My '73 Fury has developed a fairly high-pitched, tire-speed-dependent chirping (cricket-like) sound. It seems to be coming from the rear. Is this likely a rear bearing issue? I changed the fluid when I first got the car, thinking that would save me from future bearing issues, but apparently...

No start, and then no NOTHIN'

My '73 Fury (360) started fine today but then I realized I needed in the trunk, so I turned it off; when I went to restart it, I got a click and then nothing. After a couple of tries I didn't even get the cabin light, seatbelt buzzer, nothing. After letting it sit for a bit I got accessory power...

Making a replica of my '73 Fury Gran Sedan

Ever since I was a kid, I've wanted a replica of a car that we, as a family, own/owned. I've gotten close - the Matchbox Cougar station wagon, when we had a Cougar XR7; my Corgi S&H Torino when my dad had a '76 base Torino, etc. - but never something in the right colour, or with the right number...

NOT MINE 1972 Newport 2-door in London (Ontario) - $15k CAD

I haven't seen this one posted, but it's been for sale for a while! It started at $20k, as I recall... Looks like a nice car, and it'd be even better with its trim put back on and some whitewalls  1972 Chrysler Newport : London | Classic Cars | London | Kijiji Classifieds Text...

Wheels won't fit over new disc hub?!

Boy, I've never had a brake job be so much effort and so full of disappointment as the one I'm doing on my '73 Fury! What should have been easy has been full of FML moments. It didn't desperately need new rear drums, but I sprang for them... and the parts place got me in the wagon ones (3" wide...

Where are all the fuselage brake calipers?

I'm looking to put new (or even just rebuilt) calipers onto my '73 Fury, and I cannot find anyone who carries these! Can anyone direct me to a vendor who sells calipers for these?

    What was "Strato Ventilation"?

I noticed that my '73 Fury has "Strato Vent" on its climate control module, and I didn't think much of it until I noticed that "Strato Ventilation" was an option in the brochure. What did you get without "Strato ventilation" versus with it? Is that in reference to the fresh air vents whose...

Dumb question: removing wheel covers, and right-hand lugs?

It's embarrassing for me to have to ask, but what's the best way to get my wheel covers off? Typically wheel covers have a pretty pronounced lip a the edge where it's easy to pry, but my Fury's covers are remarkably flush to the rim face, and there's about half-an-inch of rim past the wheel...

Finally cleaned-up! Some pics of my '73 Gran Fury

Hi all! I finally got my new Fury washed, waxed, and shined-up (not to mention new plugs, air filter, and an oil change). Man, that paint really glows! Browns have never been my favorite colour on a car, but nothing says "1970s" more than brown and gold on a giant car :). I got a ton of looks...

'73 Gran Fury Rad Support Tag

I wondered if anyone could help me decode my '73 Gran Fury radiator support tag. I know a fair bit about GM's feature/option codes, but nothing about those for Chryslers!

Checking/adjusting bands at every fluid change?

I was reading the manual for my '73 Fury and saw that they recommend (require?) that the transmission's bands be checked/adjusted whenever the fluid is changed. I'm not familiar with old Mopars, but I don't remember seeing such a requirement for other cars (at least older Fords). Is it bad for...

Hello from the Great White North!

Hello, all! I am very new to C-bodies, though I have admired the "fuselage"-style cars ever since I was a kid. Not many survived in my area due to the heavy salting we do during the winter :). However, I recently came across a '73 Fury "Gran Sedan" that was just too good to pass up. I was...
