C bodies at Fall Carlisle 2025

These two were in the car corral at Fall Carlisle yesterday. Don't know if they are still there or not. Monaco rear quarters behind the rear wheel wells didn't quite have the right contour, and that's probably why the lower rear quarter trim is missing on this one. Still, both were pretty cars.

    Useless C body toy trivia

So I just discovered an interesting little piece of toy trivia. 1n 1964, Meccano acquired Dinky Toys (a European manufacturer of diecast toy cars dating back to the 30's). At the time, Meccano was developing six new releases for their own existing diecast toy car line, Spot On. Dinky was the...

Front Floor pans C to C replacements

After searching for months for a suitable donor car in my area, I decided to go ahead and order a pair of front floor pans from Classic to Current, for my 66 Polara convertible. They arrived by FedEx, yesterday (Sunday), just a few days after I ordered them on line. I had hesitated to order...

Who here has classic A, B, or E- bodies in addition to your C-body?

I love my C-bodies, but I was into B and A bodies first and won't be giving those up. I know I see some of the members here also posting on ForABodiesOnly, and ForBBodiesOnly. Just curious who else here has other (perhaps more mainstream) Mopars along with their C-bodies. So those of you who...

    Convertible carpet question

I'm ready to order carpet for my 66 Polara convertible. Auto Custom Carpet, Legendary, Stock Interiors, Classic Industries, and Rock Auto all say the carpet they have is for hardtops and sedans, not convertibles. Some specifically say "will not fit convertible". Any suggestions?

How do I get old hardened tree sap off convertible top? 66 Polara

Just bought a 66 Polara convertible. Spent hours today getting rock hard tree sap off the hood and trunk. Paint isn't great, so I used lacquer thinner on the body. But the convertible top and plastic rear window are relatively new. What is a safe method for removing old hardened tree sap from...

What are the chances? A passing C body breaks down in front of my house.

Got home from Spring Carlisle today to find a dead mauve Sport Fury parked in front of the house. Talked to the owner. Car died out on RT 7 and he coasted it onto my street to get out of highway traffic. He thinks his break down was due to a faulty voltage regulator. I got home too late to be...

1/87 scale (HO) 1958 Fury by Brekina

A year ago, Brekina announced that they would be releasing a 58 Plymouth Fury in their line of highly detailed (mostly European) 1/87 scale line of plastic miniature cars. At that time, they released a photo of the unpainted test shot. Now, finally, they have shown painted preproduction examples...

Shipper needed, non running car, Kansas City to northern Virginia

So I bought a non running, partially disassembled project car in early April. Before I made the purchase, I made sure I had a shipper lined up who could bring me the car and made sure that the seller could hold on to the car for the 4 to 6 weeks the shipper said it might be for the pickup. All...

2018 Chrysler Carlisle pics Links to my 2100 photos

I took 2100 photos this year. Thats down a bit from last year, but I skipped all the 80's and newer vehicle classes this time. Three days (Thursday-Saturday) isn't enough time to see and do everything. Sunday the place is a ghost town, so we leave early. This year we got there by 10 am Thursday...

65 Polara 500 426 What is it worth?

My nephew's father in law's friend and neighbor is the original owner of this yellow 1965 Polara 500 with the original 426 (freshly rebuilt) under the hood. I took a look at the car and it appears to be very solid. The original paint might be slightly faded and worn in places as would be...

    Optical illusion?

I was moving cars around in the driveway so I could get a buddy's Dart into the garage to work on. In the process, three of my cars ended up parked on the street. I took this photo and find it interesting that the 66 Fury looks kind of small between the two B body 67 Coronets.
