    318 coolant drain plugs

Thanks, I guessed at 1/8 NPT as I found a seller who listed some at roughly 10mm which is around what I measured and close to what you have said at 9mm. I'll be honest, I really struggle with imperial measurements now so thanks for the metric conversion ! I'll double check tomorrow to be sure.

    318 coolant drain plugs

Hi guys. Got a rebuilt 318 in a 67 Fury and have just realized it's missing the coolant block drain plugs from either side down by the sump line near the engine mounts. Anybody know what thread size they are ? I think they're are 1/8 NPT. Does this sound right ?

    67 Fury engine wiring help

That's an idea, I've used those in my camper van build, they are quite big though although you can get circuit breaker spade type fuses which would be easier to hide. I've ordered some slow blow fuses at the moment which I can fit inline, will see what happens.

    67 Fury engine wiring help

The closest thing I can find are slow blow cartridge fuses which are specifically designed to absorb peak current spikes which is a similar function to fusible link wire. 67 Fury engine wiring help

This is true but its the heat and flameproof insulation that's that seems to be the important bit (apparently fusible link wire is banned from sale in the UK, who knew !). I can find slow blow cartridge fuses which are designed to absorb current spikes so that may be the way I will have to go...

    67 Fury engine wiring help

Okay so, new problem. What do you do when fusible link wire is completely unavailable in your country and you don't have time to wait for it to be sent from the States ? I know fuses don't behave the same way as fusible link wire but I'm I'm drawing a blank here !

Thanks Dave, so both terminal P and Z go to the Ammeter but terminal Z has the F link. Any ideas what gauge and lengths any of the links should be ? I've got absolutely nothing to go on !
