My 66 was 4,002 with me in it and almost full tank of gas. Interior is gutted, my race seat and then back seat is still in it, really just no carpet, headliner, all ac and power steering has been deleted. I have a # matching 65 that’s the exact same options as my 66 and it’s 4,620 with me in it

Does anyone have a current up to date list of the fastest C bodies? Trying to push my 66 into the 11’s and wanting to see any area I’d be able to get. So far best I’ve been able to get was a 1.75 60’ with a 8.03 1/8 that calculates out to about a 12.50.

If I remember right they were 15x10 welds, 4.75 backspace. I test fit those over a year and a half ago and can’t remember exactly. But I’m pretty sure that’s what it was.

That’s not necessarily true. My 66 newport I fit an 11.5 with the side skirt. Never drove with them but they did clear. I have a set of Hoosier QuickTime Pro’s that have a 29x11.5r15 I’m putting on the car. Wheel spec makes a worlds difference.

Yes I had the the seat sitting on floor but I could barely see over the steering wheel. The bracket he’s making is elevated about 5 inches. Planning on him making a harness bar for it in the coming months.

I got the seat from a buddy who had a sponsorship with the seat company. I believe the brand was Modify Street and the seat was the Venom?

That’s expected. A buddy of mine is fabricating a seat bracket for driver side as we speak. Since my interior is gutted apart at the moment he will probably be installing a harness bar as well

It’s about as fresh as can be. The engines only been in the car about 2 months. Been driven on the street maybe 10 times in the last 3 years.

Well nobody really builds c bodies to race. So researching setups for a C body is much more difficult than an A, B, or E body. I don’t want to go with a tried and true setup that’s guaranteed. Gotta keep it unique. The 383 I’ve got built will eventually be boosted. It’s what I built it for...

The trunk is gutted, going to have 4 bucket seats inside the car instead of the double benches. Hopefully all looks good when it’s done
