What did you do to your C-body today....

Which hoist did you get, @cbarge ? Please share photos of the assembly and let us know how it goes. I hope to get one myself one day and am very interested in your experience.

    440 TNT rebuild

The 440 in my '67 300 was recently rebuilt with flat-top pistons. It's bored .030 over and has 516 casting heads. Stock CR was around 10:1 and I am thinking it's about that after the rebuild. Timing at WOT is 33 degrees; cruise timing is 42 degrees at around 2500 rpm. On 93 octane pump gas...

    '66 Newport 2 Door hardtop

The shop that did my restoration bought it. This would have been around Spring of 2023.

    '66 Newport 2 Door hardtop

Here are two photos of my painted spacer/gasket sandwich. Also, if you look carefully at the top of the studs, you can see the Allen wrench holes. BTW, I drove the car to the post office yesterday. On the way there water temp was 188+- two degrees and MAT stayed between 98 & 100. OAT was...

    '66 Newport 2 Door hardtop

I had some time and looked at my data logs. I couldn't find logs with exactly the same outside air temp (OAT) and driving events for before and after installing the spacer, but I did find one event that was illustrative. I guess I could have recorded some data logs for before to make an apples...

    '66 Newport 2 Door hardtop

I have data logs of before and after the spacer, so I can check the temperatures and get back to you. Give me a day or two. (BTW this is a nice feature of the Sniper: you can log hot/cold start, idle, accel, cruise, etc. data to include temps, timing, RPM, throttle position, vacuum, and so...

    '66 Newport 2 Door hardtop

I just put a 1/4" phenolic spacer on my '67 300 (440 with a 4-bbl Holley Sniper EFI; luckily the spacer and gaskets were commercially available). I noticed results such as a lower intake charge temp (manifold air temp), so I am hopeful your new spacer will help you. Two suggestions: 1. Paint...

What did you do to your C-body today....

Removed the 4-hole 1/4" phenolic carb spacer from between the Holley Sniper and Edelbrock Performer on the 440 in my 300 and replaced it with a 1/4" open spacer. The 4-hole wasn't bad, but the open spacer really improved idle quality, throttle response and overall driveability. I don't have...

WANTED 1967 Newport headlight switch lever style

Watching. I have the same issue on my 300. Mine broke externally at the thin part of the stem on the "chrome" part, but it still works electrically.

Dual Exhaust Kit recommendation; 1970 Newport 383

FWIW, I've had a TTI 2.5" exhaust, including their 4-into-1 headers, on my '67 with a 440, for a little over two years. I love it. Sounds great, looks great, and no issues with fitment, leaks, or anything else. Expensive, yes, but the quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.

Those of us with Apple computers can go into Safari's website settings and check the box to "Enable content blockers". Doesn't remove all ads but I have no idea what you guys are talking about with pop-up ads on this site, so I guess this is working for me.
