Finally got my dream survivor 69 Polara, query about keeping survivor or doing mods

As a more door I'd lean towards leaving it stock. Or at the very most, I'd do period correct upgrades. I'd stay away from modern touches. Maybe just a few under the hood tweaks.

NOT MINE 1972 Newport $800 New Orleans, LA

I hope it's not, I'd love to see it cummins swapped. It's the perfect car to do it to, a non-value 4 door why not do something cool. It's a better than a derby.

    C-Body Wheel and Tire Survey

The Imperial shared a bolt pattern with fullsize GM trucks 5x5. The caps on that green one look exactly like the caps I've had on several Squarebodys.

NOT MINE 1972 Newport 2-door in London (Ontario) - $15k CAD

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that was the same one listed in Newbury over the summer, it had gotten down as low as $10,500. Either it sold and someone dumped some money in it, or the owner safetied it. NOT MINE - 1972 Newport Royal - $13kcdn

What's the funniest mod you've seen in a while???

A world where everybody follows that saying would be very boring. Thankfully, there are people that like to see where things go, whether popular opinion dictates it or not, lol.

What are you working on today??

There's a fridge in the other room. And there is never Labatt in my house. OV, whiskey, and scotch only.

What are you working on today??

Got the new work benches built and organized today.

What are you working on today??

Now that the Newport is in storage and the Savoy is in the garage I have a lot more room to build a new work bench with storage. The Newport will still fit next year, but I can now work on the work space inside the garage when the snow starts flying. This is just the start.

    Moparfest 2024

That down pour might have been the start of the Tornado that hit Ayr on Saturday.

What's the funniest mod you've seen in a while???

I mean the work is clean, but why would you destroy a G body ElCo like that.

    Moparfest 2024

I won't be making it this year after all. There is a local town celebrating their 150 year and I will be at that show Saturday with my Savoy, and Sunday I just have too many things going on. I'm kind of ok with it, the last few years, it seemed like it was just all the same cars. Out of 1000...

What car would you own if it couldn’t be a C Body?

Anything, really. The best thing about most C bodies, is they are a cheap enough car, you can usually buy another car too. I have been eyeing up the Colonnade cars lately, particularly the Lemans and Cutlass.

What's the funniest mod you've seen in a while???

The aftermarket does exist! I have a set of Chevy style rallye wheels in the garage that are a 5x4.5 bolt pattern.

    "Ratty" (???) Fury GT

I don't get what the problem is here. Is it that he has the car and not you? Or that he considers it "ratty"? I mean it's not a perfect car.

What did you do to your C-body today....

Found a set of Octane Lighting headlights I had ordered a long time ago for my old 69 Coronet. So I put them in the Newport. The car was due for some new headlights as the old ones wouldn't aim for **** and two still had yellow over spray on them from when the car was painted 15-20 years ago...
