Has anyone seen my car, 77 NYB?

I have taken care of my car since 1978 and have watched attentively the style of this era. I would have remembered this car but have never seen it. With the same options as my car it certainly stands out. Good Luck in your search.

Coolant overflow filling up - '77 NYB

As stated before, start simple. Purchase a laser digital thermometer for about $15 to point at radiator and confirm temperature. My 440's in both '70 Fury and '78 New Yorker St Regis Coupe show the needle under normal conditions at the second letter "E" of the word TEMPERATURE. What is yours at...

    White convertible top cleaner recommendation

When I purchased my '62 Chrysler 300 Convertible about eight years ago, I tried "Fantastik", 409 etc. and still had some embedded dirt and used a stiff nylon brush. If you cannot get it clean, consider white liquid shoe polish. Dump it in a plastic bowl and use a 1" foam brush. After going one...

I agree with you assessment. I had my '59 Imperial starter rebuilt by Fondyautoelectric.com in Fond du Lac WI. perhaps you have a rebuilder closer but if not give them a call. My starter was rebuilt 36 years ago with my generator by the same company.

Greetings and question about Imperial 59 start-up!

I have not seen a response to the Jakter post advising you to manually turn it over by hand. You can then confirm if you encounter the same resistance that is happening while using the starter. Do this with and without the sparkplugs.

Greetings and question about Imperial 59 start-up!

I agree with Jakter on his first post. Start with simple checks of the engine and the starting system. I suspect you mean a 1000 amp battery, not 100 amp?

Several years ago I met a retired school teacher at his booth at the West Bend WI. January swap meet. The guy is Gary Wise and he restored vehicle horns. He restored my '59 Imperial horn for $15. Now I would suggest calling him to get current pricing etc. His home phone is 262-353-9637 and a...

    1962 White Wall Tires

From the Imperial pages on the internet...Wide white walls as we know them were last offered on 1961 models. By 1962 the industry as a whole switched to the narrower 1" or 1 1/2" white stripe tire and we've played with different widths ever since, nearly going wide again in the late '70s with...

Just bought a 78 New Yorker

Apparently, if you're thinking that the skirts fasten with the single swinging latch attaching to the rear quarter wheel lip, this is different. I don't know what year Chrysler changed to the "1978 way". Look at these "For Sale" on Ebay, zoom into the back and look at the two clips that guide...
