    Dream shop....your opinions

I appreciate the input, this building will be solely for working on stuff ( I say stuff as being a mechanic of both automotive and diesel, I dabble in everything from AG tractors to trucks to trailers to cars and in between). I recently lost my brother to cancer at the age of 46 and it has...

    Dream shop....your opinions

I looked into it more and think I may do that, my only fear is setting concrete anchors for equipment and hitting a pipe later on.

    Dream shop....your opinions

Its a dream shop for me, but I have a budget to be conscious of, if I had no budget it would be 80x160 with a paint booth, seperate area for blasting, etc etc etc. Instead it's my chance to build a modest dream shop, a shop for just working in, no storage of clutter, no use by anything to do...

    Dream shop....your opinions

I'd love too, but its not in the cards, I got two rough quotes that were 40% the overall cost to build. When it comes to choosing where to spend money, I just can't justify spending almost half the total build cost on a creature comfort.

Jackson's wrecking yard closing and being cleared. Video of walk through.

Its a civilian 318 car. There's a few fuselage cars, but they are all on very sad shape, theres numerous 70-71 Polara's. I'll dig through the pictures I took in about 2019...some were crushed in 2020.

    Dream shop....your opinions

For the first time in my life I have the space to build whatever I want. A standalone shop not being used for storage or filled with crap, no tripping over a snowblower, or moving rakes. So I know the basics of what I need/want, but I'd love to have some input from people with a different...

Jackson's wrecking yard closing and being cleared. Video of walk through.

The original owner Paul Jackson was a Ford guy, with the proximity to Oshawa the yard is 75% GM and Ford, 20% Imports and 5% Mopar, most of which are '61-'68 time frame. Theres a 73 Newport I may buy for parts. Nick

A lot it can be purchased, anything that will come out in one piece and or is semi complete will be auctioned in May, I worked with its prior owner and have been through the yard many times.

    Dennis. That's his name.

Headed out to a Junkyard I've dealt with for quite a few years, I actually worked with the owner for a while, unfortunately the yard has been sold and the majority of what's in it will be getting crushed out. I knew this base 72 Suburban had a decent dash pad in it, so I headed up and spent...

I was just thinking about you and that car today, there will be stuff I'll need from it for sure.

No the house in Ajax is ours, my grandparents left their home jointly to my mother and I, part of getting the 73 out of the garage is so I can sell my house, my grandparents house will be forsale again come spring and I'll use what I get from it to hopefully drop my mortgage as low as i can so...

Winched the car up on my trailer yesterday evening, the first time this car had ever been on this trailer, as I built the trailer in 2015 and then did the big overhaul on it in 2018 when the car was already off the road. Garage looks weird without Dennis in the back. Headed out this morning...

I fought the spring shackles on properly then dropped the car down, its the first time it's left the garage since 2017, and the first time it's ever been on this trailer since I built it. Its a weird feeling after seeing this car in the back of the shop all this time. For now I'm taking it up...

With us moving in a few short months, this idea has been rolling around in my head, making Dennis a roller again temporarily until I get myself set up and some other smaller things dealt with. so today I grabbed life by the horns so they say... Much to my surprise, for a car I've had all cut...

A Future home for my C's

Over the last few years I've started buying different equipment to be self reliant. I'm actually going to build two buildings eventually, one to work in and one for storage, I'm doing this for two reasons, it'll keep the work area uncluttered, and i have less SF to heat. My wife has given...

A Future home for my C's

Id rather an extra hour a day commute then living in the absolute dumpster fire that is the city and suburbs. At this house my neighours are too far from me to be a problem, theres nearly no traffic other than during the harvest. Im willing to sacrifice an hour a day for my own sanity. Nick
