Greetings and question about Imperial 59 start-up!

100 Ah is the battery capacity (think of energy storage ability), not the cold cranking Amps the battery is able to provide. Still, a 12V 100Ah battery should be able to provide sufficient CCA to turn a 413 engine, even more so if the starter motor has been rebuilt.

Lets Play A Game: Last Of The Convertibles

I found this on Facebook -- pics of what is said to be a 1970 Chrysler 300 convertible pilot car, VIN CM27K0C100020 Note that the fender tag still has the 1969 paint code L1 (instead of BL1) as well as the 1969 engine designation "K" while the VIN schows "T" instead. Despite the sparsely...

Is there a catalog of fuselage year photos showing the front and rear ends for every make, model, trim, and year?

When it comes to Fuseys, the sales brochures (and more) can also be viewed on fuselage.de In the header table of that website, just click on the model year you are interested in in the row of the make you are interested in. Then click on the brochure cover to see images of all brochure pages...

Is there a catalog of fuselage year photos showing the front and rear ends for every make, model, trim, and year?

In case of the 1969 Chrysler clicking on the front of the 1969 Chrysler Newport takes to the main 1969 Chrysler page from where you can then go on to the various model lines by clicking on the respective image in the brochure page. Anyway, in case of the 1969 Chrysler, brochure images were...

There may be two screws on the front bottom side of the radio also holding it in place. You can loosen those screws by vertically inserting a long screwdriver in respective holes in the bottom of the dashboard sheetmetal.

    Hi all

Welcome! I really like the fact you held on to this car for so long! That's 35 years now (and counting), way more years than the car was old when you acquired it.

1968 Chrysler automatic headlight dimmer (never seen this before)

Lincoln offered a similar option, too. Just as CBODY67 wrote above and according to this thread, the system was called Autronic Eye and was manufactured by Guide (which was a division of GM from 1928 until 1998 and folded in 2007). From 1969 on, if you ordered this option on a Chrysler or...

    1969, 1970 Imperial Vinyl Tops

There was a writeup on this vinyl roof in the Collectible Automobile magazine article on Fuselage Imperials. The roof material was specifically developed to look like an old Italian leather that has a very subtle print. All looked fine but the production involved printing red color over the...

    1969, 1970 Imperial Vinyl Tops

The only unsual vinyl roof on Imperials that I would know of was the V1M burgundy vinyl roof available for the 1971 models. This material's red color tended to fade due to exposure to the sun's UV rays and thereby reveal a floral pattern, which is why this vinyl roof color choice was...

Also a warm welcome from Germany! Since you mentioned your car as being a 1969 this is true in that your car's fender tag shows a scheduled production date of 23 September 1969. Yet it is considered a 1970 model. Model year run was always from 1st of August of the calendar year previous of the...

M5L2 means the car has the beige cloth & vinyl bucket seat interior. The headliner would be in light beige, pretty much the same color than the seat upholstery or the interior "A"-pillar dress-up panels or the intdrior rear window bezel. Not sure about sources for a headliner other than SMS...

What is the Likelihood that Reproduction Windshields Will Happen for our Fuselage Cars?

So did your installer actually cut the corners? If yes, how did he do it? Or what action does the verb "to crowd something" refer to here?

For Sale Mopar 1966-1973 Chrysler Imperial oil pressure sender NOS

For posterity, Imperials have two oil pressure senders. This one, for the Check Gauges (idiot) light, and another sender (which looks different) for the oil presure gauge in the instrument panel.
