    Oh there is little left "factory" on my GMC. It's all factory parts but different years. Frame and body 1964 Suspension front 1985 c10 disc brakes and power steering. Rear suspension is 1966 c10 and the rear end is also 1985 c10 Motor/trans 2006 5.3l/4l60e

    Thanks for the reply. And she's not a girly girl but I think the power steering would be a lot nicer. We don't plan on ever selling the car because it was her dads. I put power steering in my 64 GMC so i should do the same for her. lol

    All right you all I've started working on the wife's 65 fury 3 again. Had to put it on hold for a bit. But Im back at it. I was able to find some disc brakes off a 70 fury a guy was dare I say it "Derbying" sorry. Anyway I've got a few question. 1- Where the hell do i find the lower ball joins...

    Try goodmark or the factory that makes them is north america art industry merchants. or something like that. they number is 734 379 0292. That is where i got mine.

    After grinding welds down. Just going to need a skim coat of filler. and you'll never know.

    I still have to grind welds down but thought it fit pretty good need to put the hood spring/bar braket on still. Next spot to get to work on will be Left quarter. But ill probably get front end put back on first. Make sure it well line up and fit right.

    Done some more work to the 65 fury III after i was finaly able to get it back in the garage after all this rain.

    If you're wanting original i'd clean it and reuse the one you have. Hard to find new.

    I called goodmark and they didn't have both sides. But the guy gave me the manufactures number and i got them straight from them. They are the only one who make them. I'll see if i can find that info again for you. Like said before these are not the best thing in the world but only thing there...

    Thanks guys! i started on the passanger side because it wasn't as bad as the drivers side. I like to keep as much original metal there as i can.lol! Once i pull that crease i will patch the spot above the wheel well. And show you all how it turns out!

    Now for what i did... I had to replace the drop off in the trunk so i used some of the patch panel that i was not going to used as the patch. got it welded in and let it straight. i used the lower original lip as a guide to know were to make the lip at. Then i split the quarter at body line left...

    Just a little update for you all so you know i still working on her. Bought the patch panels for the quarters a week or so ago. been trying to get the passager side on and fit. As far as patch panels go they are not the best i've ever used or bought but think they are still better then a flat...

    Ordered my quarter panels patches today. Should see them next week he said. Then it's time to do some cutting and welding!

    Haven't checked in awhile but did you see if you had that piece of the cowl? Drivers side? and the quarter is looking good!
