Perhaps he was practicing "Touch and go?" HA! The video took way too long to get to the punchline.

Engines available in a '70 Newport.

I have owned my ragtop for 20 years and I have never seen one in person. However, because of it, when I was having my license plate surround made, I had it say "440 Newport" instead of "Newport 440," just in case someone knew the difference. (Actually, it was my Son's suggestion as I was...

    How to remove headrests?

Since I've bought new replacements, that might just work as I won't need them anymore.

Engines available in a '70 Newport.

I am aware of the Newport 440 model, but it does not appear in the Data Book. All through it only the three engines I mentioned are listed for Newport. However, the letter you posted is from December 1969, several months after this Data Book was written. The 440 and 300 Hurst were later...

    How to remove headrests?

Thanks. I thought they just pulled out but I get quite the resistance. I'll do what Big John suggested. My parents bought a '71 Toyota Crown (Yes, I was fully embarrassed!) new. I liked what the front seats on it had. There was a "button" formed into the vinyl fabric of the seats on the...

    How to remove headrests?

I was looking at my Newport this morning while the Bugman was spraying around my home. Knowing that I have all of the stuff to redo my interior, I decided to look in my FSM to see how the headrests are to be removed? Do I just pull them up? It said nothing!! Nothing in my 1975 Chilton's Book...

Engines available in a '70 Newport.

I found something very interesting yesterday. I was looking for a specific book in my "library" yesterday when I came across something I had forgotten I owned. It's a "Chrysler 1970 Data Book." As I said, I forgot I owned it, so I started perusing it. Then I saw it, engines available in the...

No man, they don't make them! Aren't you listening??? I love it when someone tells you something that you know isn't true, but they insist you're wrong. Good find 413 and 67_300.

That is weird, but if it were a VW, Audi, or a Porsche it would be correct! :p

Get your Hankook Optimo H724 WW tires while you can!

Personally, I can't stand to see them on a car 1960 or newer. And one from the '70s, :wideyed: I still have these tires. Haven't been used for 19 years, but I can't throw them away. They are in my backyard as I write this!

Get your Hankook Optimo H724 WW tires while you can!

There's the rub then, isn't it? I have found that if I don't get what I want, I remain disappointed as long as I have the substitute. Therefore, I will pay the price if I really want something specific. If it's not available, that's another story.
