I did get distracted for a while

Front end assembled enough to roll and steer. Nice to see it on ground. Unfortunately it was roll it away from big shop to little shop in my own yard.

Wow...half a year gone. Strange year as well. Getting crank/rods cleaned up and measured up. Goal is to get bottom end bolted up next 2 weeks. Did a little valve cover shuffle. Painted my crappy chrome ones, then found some stock ones but before I could get them painted these M/T covers came...

Valve covers. That's it. That's all. So much for a part a day. Painted the cleaned up chrome ones. Looking to get aluminum later

Nice thorough work Jeff. I have had 2 different years of those and really liked them. For as many as were made they sure completely disappeared from the roads.

Water pump housing all coated and a rack of parts getting prepped. The strut rods for lower control arms are done but out of pic.

I also added a ground wire off the mounting stud. Had some grounding issues without it.

The other part was weld up openings for wiper motor cover. Little more dolly and fit work before blasting.

Have a personal goal to try and get at least one thing done enough to post. First one was get control arm pivot moving freely and then make up some boxing plates for lower surface.

Other parts going through the process. Light pitting on timing cover being needlessly filled. Keep finding more areas to smooth on intake manifold.

Glad all is well and car looks good. Have seen that trailer on the highway and was curious so good to know they are reliable.

Engine tool day as well. Piston pin puller and crank stands for polishing.

Spindles smoothed, glass beaded and baked on coating applied. Sounds fancier than painted and bbqed.
