1965 New Yorker Town & Country Tailgate Counterbalance

Haven't fixed it yet. Did get another torsion bar. The repair procedure calls for removing the tailgate but it looks like it could be done without doing that.

Early disc brake wheels, dog dish size?

1966 cars use the caps like you show. Same cap as what my car came with but without the lines. I'll look into the screw thing.

Early disc brake wheels, dog dish size?

Do the 1966 and 1967 disc brake steel wheels accommodate the larger dog dish caps that were used on the cars back then? I know disc brake cars normally came with full wheel covers but I'm looking for some 15" wheels that will take the large dog dish caps and fit over disc brakes. I got wheels...

Hi Frank. Still haven't found any of it or any matching material. I guess that's still holding you up on your wagon. Nick.

    1960 300F

They would have had to make totally new major body stampings to make it work and on a low production model it wasn't worth it. Even in 1962 the Chrysler and Dodge wagons ended up with the 1961 Plymouth wagon rear body, which made for awkward body line transitions and mismatches in style. At...

    1960 300F

My '60 New Yorker Town & Country listed for over $6600 with its options. Even the Windsor wagon that year was quite expensive. For 1961 they made the lower wagon the Newport and stripped some standard equipment to get the price down.

    1960 300F

Joe, on the Chryslers it's called the Flightsweep Decklid. On the Plymouth it was bolted on top of the standard decklid and would trap water under it and rust. On the Chrysler and Imperial it is molded into the sheetmetal with trim on top. The 300F uses a special hubcap with a drain hole and no...

Only one of my wingnuts looks like it has gold down inside the top of it. Nothing on the bottom. My car was owned mostly by one family but they converted to a 4-barrell at one time but still had all of the original parts to put it back when they got it back on the road. I know that they...

Steve, can you tell me if one wing nut on your air cleaners is gold? Someone told me recently that they were painted assembled with the one wing nut and that they got the gold paint on the wingnut. Thanks, Nick

1960 Chrysler New Yorker Town & Country

Got my fuel tank installed. Had an issue with the mount for the tank strap. The captured nut in the bracket on the body broke loose. Had to cut the bolt head off to get it out. That left me with a hole. Was going to put a rivnut in it but the hole was too big so made an insert to drop down in...
