Timing chain....do I need to worry about it? If so how?

318 is a pretty good engine. A weakness they have is the distributor shaft. It snaps and distributor stops turning. Fragments can end up in oil pump and tears follow. Most pump jockeys aren't mechanical beyond jumps or oil change.

    Chrysler-Badged Formal Police Cars

    Chrysler-Badged Formal Police Cars

Didn't the New Jersey State Police use Newports in 1974 or 1975. They were limited to the N.J. Turnpike. I remember taking notice because they were different from their standard units.

starting to remove parts from my 77 parts car and found this

One is the headlight dimmer switch, the other is the hands free radio scan. Just another first for Mother MoPar. I have it on my 74 Newport 2 dr HT. Sometimes a similar switch was used to control electro mechanical roller sirens with brakes, like the Federal Signal Q class.

    1978 wiper drive cam

I need this cam for my 1979 Newport (I also have a 74 Newport 2 dr aka Big Bird) Anyone aware of replacement part availability? I need it so I can drive the rain (so my wife says...she has no sense of fun).
