Very similar thing has happened to me with my 67 300. When its kinda hot outside and I floor the throttle from a light, It will take off like crazy; then, if I keep my foot in it, it will suddenly bog down like its starving for fuel OR the ignition cut out. I've got a 440 TNT with Edelbrock...
