spark plug recommendation for a 70 440 TNT

Not in my experience, unless it was an oil burner. In 1970, Dad bought two 1970 Pontiacs, one 455 4 bbl, one 400 2 bbl. The 455 needed tune ups pretty much as scheduled, every 12,000 miles and acted like it needed one. The 400 on the other hand would happily go 30,000 miles, running great...

spark plug recommendation for a 70 440 TNT

And FWIW, Kmart also had "Fisk" stores, I have NO experience with them, mebbe they sold reconditioned plugs?

spark plug recommendation for a 70 440 TNT

Not that I ever knew of. I only worked there from mid '73 to fall '74. What I remember most was $4.97 oil change specials. Every pre '69 Chevy in town showed up with four gaskets wedged under the adapter. And "people" who bought a side post battery to install at home who brought it...

Accessing spark plugs on driver side

On a C body I think you're better off from on top since you don't have a lift. I don't recall much trouble with #5 but always had a great time with #7. On an E body, no question underneath is the way to go.

Has anyone installed a Dakota Digital aftermarket cruise control?

Ah, I see now... You'll be using the magnets on the driveshaft, just like the Speed-O-Stat. Emery paper and a spinning driveshaft will make short work of preparation. While it's spinning a pencil will handy to mark the centerline for you. Speed-O-Stat included fiber reinforced tape to...

Has anyone installed a Dakota Digital aftermarket cruise control?

Reviews look good: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/dak-crs-2000-2?seid=srese1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIktnqsrK26QIVBdvACh3XywqhEAQYBSABEgLRoPD_BwE Looks sorta like a modern version of a "Speed-O-Stat". I installed tons of those back in the day. Had very few problems with them. This one appears...

    Stoplight Switch 1968 C-Body w/Cruise???

NO! Not that one! That's crazy high. There's one on eBay now for $70.00. I paid $25.00 for my last one. Oops, I forgot, it's missing the black plastic shroud, I don't think that hurts its operation though. Speed Control Cruise Switch for Brake Pedal 1969 Chrysler 2926676 missing cover | eBay

    Stoplight Switch 1968 C-Body w/Cruise???

Here's what you're looking for, specific to '68 & '69 w/ cruise. Part number 2926676. Note the vacuum fitting. There's a separate bracket to mount it to the column, you'll never get it mounted without that bracket, I tried...:BangHead: before I knew the bracket existed.

    Voltage regulator

Let's see if this works? Behind the air cleaner I think you can see the regulator, to the left of that the disconnected BR. FWIW, the original owner was a Chrysler master mechanic, I assume this regulator was something he did. I know he replaced the original Holley with an AVS 4640sa. He...

    Voltage regulator

This thread raised a question for me: Petronoix III. What's the Good, Bad and Ugly of these things? When I bought my car it had pertronix on it, I don't know which one but the BR was bypassed. My VR is different from what's normally seen: So what the heck is it and should it be replaced...

That was my thought as well, he's testing coils, not primary ignition systems. I have no argument with the rest of it, but the quality of condensers today makes the points look good. 2¢

Is This a Good Distributor for an HEI Conversion?

If you were planning on using the designed to drive mounting plate for the module I think you're out of luck. The new castings differ from the original. Might be able to massage the pieces to fit, I haven't tried that, yet. I suspect this is a chinese distributor with all that might entail...
