Looks just like mine. I'm now convinced it's completely original and in the original configuration. I'm going to guess this was done due to Chrysler's money problems at the time? The plastic knob was cheaper than the chrome and they saved a bit on each car leaving off the woodgrain?

The lack of head restraints says it's 1968 production. So that fits the narrative. And I prefer the chrome knob w/o the woodgrain.

My '69 300 has a wood grain shift knob but the console is plain smooth aluminum, no woodgrain. It's always struck me as odd. Now that I've seen this video, I wonder if I'm supposed to have woodgrain or if my shift knob is wrong? :confused:

Was bolted on the engine when it was painted. Just paint it if you want to maintain the effect. My '69 had lost most of the insulation near the engine and went bad somehow.

Like A/C, it was not. it's easy to add, just drill a hole for the lost motion link.

The Holley 2300's were two barrels, their CFM rated @ 3 Hg, 4 barrels rated @ 1.5 Hg, correction ratio is √2 gives an equivalent 4 barrel rating of 954 CFM, still pretty impressive.
