1967 Crown Coupe purchased at estate sale

"Odometer reads 33 K, I'm pretty sure it's rolled over once." G'Day, Speaking From Experience I Can Only Say That I Have Never Worried About the Mileage on a Chrysler. I Bought a 1969 Plymouth Fury with 106,000 Miles on the Clock Many Years Ago and It was Only Just Run in. My Opinion... If Its...

    Sunsetting with Tux

G'Day, I Drive a Little Runabout Mazda 626 Hatch Runabout. What has Always Amused me is the LACK of Bonnet in Front of Me in Later Model Cars. Sitting at the Wheel & Directing the Motion of a Football Field in Front of You as You Drive down the Road & Around Corners has a Certain Thrill for Me...

Looking at a '64 Crown Coupe. Help?

G'Day, Copper Lines on a Car are Not a Good Idea. Any Sort of Vibration & They are Prone to Cracking, Fuels leaks & Fires are the Result. Also Copper Brake Lines will Balloon or Crack with Resultant Loss of Stopping Power. Totally Banned in the Mystical Land of OZ. Regards, Tony.M

    A518 conversion on a pushbutton 727

G'Day All, O.K. Please Understand I am Speaking out of Ignorance. But 1965 was the Change over Year for the TF 727 to Sliding Yoke Setup. As the Trans was still Operated by Cable Could the Gentleman Combine a 65 Trans & a Gear Vendors to Achieve his Desired Result? I'm Assuming the 65 Trans was...

Bottom Line… Just wanna know if this comment is legit?

Back Again and After Extracting My Foot from My Mouth I Apologise. I Missed the Point Entirely! I was Thinking in Terms of "C" Bodies Only. As I Remember Imperials have Heavier Duty Suspension Components. I Had a Similar Problem when I Converted a 59 Dodge C/R to Discs using 73 Monaco...

Bottom Line… Just wanna know if this comment is legit?

Hi Fellas, Just a Quick Comment in Passing. Never Driven a 4 Piston Budd System But have Converted a Few 65-68 Drum Cars to 69-72 Single Piston Disc. AND the Result has ALWAYS Been Brilliant. For Such a Simple Design, the Brakes, even Compared to Modern 4 Wheel Disc Brake Cars, Still hold their...

    Backing plates for Imperial

G'Day Dave, I'm Always a Little Nervous about giving you Fellas Advice. What was Standard in the Mystical Land of OZ can Sometimes be Somewhat Different to what you Fellas had. Plus you had a Far Vaster Range. But We did indeed have the Three Different Wheel Track measurements Through 65 - 72...

    Backing plates for Imperial

I COULD BE WRONG BUT... Uncle Dave Please Forgive Me for Correcting You, But From My Experience the 65-66 are the Narrow measurement.. 60.5 - 61 Inches. After that the 67-68 are around 62.5 inches & the 69-72 are around 64 Inches all this with a rough Tape measurement on Plymouth Fury / Dodge...

    1964 Imperial finding drum brakes

O.K. I'm assuming we're talking Key Way Drums here. If you are going to the Expense & Work of Fitting Front Discs Why not slip in a Later Slip-Drum Diff as Well. Many Years ago I fitted a 8.75 out of a 66 "B" Body under my 59 Custom Royal. The "11" Inch Backing Plates, Drums Etc. from a "C"...

i dont know what to say about this.......

Actually, I'm thinking it Might be Ray Charles's Old Chauffeur Driven Limo. LOL (Profuse Apologies to Anyone who may be offended by My Comment) Mr. Charles was / is One of My Heroes. Tony.M P.S. After taking a Closer Look at That, I can Only say I'd Hate to get a Thread Hooked on Something...

    That '75 Imperial I bought...

G'Day, Don't mean to teach My Granma how to Suck Eggs, But I always have a Fire Extinguisher handy in case of Backfires. Also I train people to NEVER Stand in front of a Automatic Car when first Starting, been almost Run over a couple of times by Vehicles with Crook Inhibitors. Poorly Adjusted...

Why is my 64 Imperial so difficult?

Two Cents Worth! I Recently Had an Experience with My Little Runabout Mazda 626. Came Out one Morning & it Wouldn't Start. Called NRMA (AA in the States?) The Mechanics Opinion, Failed Electric Fuel Pump. (They will fix Small Mech Problems on the Side of the Road But Not Bigger Stuff) So, Tow it...
