    Door Crack Repair

As that paint is so thick, I'd half consider getting the car media blasted. Any chemical paint stripper or mechanical strip mechanism (sander, bristle disc, etc), would take quite a long time and would be a ton of work. As always, if using a media blaster, find a reputable one so he/she...

    Door Crack Repair

Yep, that is correct. Strip everything down to bare metal before painting. I'd put nothing over that existing paint anywhere on the car as it's most likely going to crack elsewhere.

    Door Crack Repair

Yep, that's paint. And if sprayed on thick, it could be that thick. Looks like a lacquer paint.

That looks like the paint has cracked and peeled off.

might have bit off a bit more than i can chew

As it looks like you lap welded, make sure you use the seam sealer underneath the car as well. You don't want water to get trapped in between the 2 pieces of metal (original floor and patch). Also, I'd probably lay down a few more welds in that center section (green circled area). If people...

Cost of re- chroming and what cannot be re-chromed?

I got my front and rear bumpers straightened and rechromed locally for around $850 for both.

might have bit off a bit more than i can chew

That is a good job for 14. I had no idea how to do any of this at 14. One thing I've learned is that I like to always grind down my welds. You never know when you're missed a spot or there's an air pocket in a weld that can let in moisture, etc. Especially on something like a floor where...

might have bit off a bit more than i can chew

And even if you want the clamp in the same place, it's not too hard. Before cutting anything, just measure where it is at the moment. Since there's a "hole" on the top side of it, mark the spot 3" directly above (or however far away a nice clean piece of metal is) with a marker. Then, after...

    white vinyl cleaner

OK, so I ordered my 303 to put on the top. However, I need to get it clean first. Despite it being a new top, it's already dirty (I can tell from the fact I left a towel on the roof for a while and now that segment is much whiter than the rest of the top, and this was in the garage). What do...

    Trunk weatherstrip questions

Juat wanted to make sure. The “open” part of the “V” goes outward towards the car body, correct? Also, just making sure it lays down on top of the raised channel portion (see pic 2). Third, it goes down in front of the tall section that is above the bumper, or does it stop/start on the sides...

DMT lower valance radiator spash shield

Well, he said the parts diagrams or whatever for MOPAR, compared to other makes of cars, are terrible. So while he might have known, I don't think he had them exact. Regarding the 2 pics above, I don't think the one listed currently for the Fury is correct either. That area near the radiator...
