    Question on Tie Rods

Mine ( '65 originals ) had remnants of black paint. It looked like my entire drag link and tierod ends had been assembled and shot as there was some paint on the rubber boots.

    Removing dents from bumpers

That's some thick metal to work back. I've never done it myself but I'd imagine it'd be just like working a dent out of sheet metal, just with a lot more effort, and maybe a little heat. Remember, first in, last out. Don't just start whacking it on the crown.

You just scrubbed a little too hard.

Engine cleaning - easy does it?

Simple green is a good product but it can and will eat paint if too strong or left on too long. Ask me how I know. Something like purple power is also rather harsh on finishes or uncoated aluminum. I recommend using Oil Eater. It's water based and will not hurt paint/rubber/plastic. Warm up...

    car covers

I have a few Budge covers. They make universal fit covers (they're baggy/loose fitting) so they are cheaper than a true custom fit. I use their "Duro" and "Protector III" covers, but all of my vehicles are kept in a garage or carport, so they mainly just keep dirt and sun off. They do offer out...

Salvage Yard Runner - No Title

I had fun with a title a few years ago... I very likely will never buy another car w/o a clear tile because of it. I think your best route, that is if you really want this car, is a bonded title.

    WEATHERSTRIP RESTORATION

I know that 303 makes some good products but I haven't hear of that one ^ before. Do any of y'all have experience using it? If not I might get some and test out some rubber on one of my more common cars.

    Jesse James Polara

I saw that car on Hot Rod Magazine. I like it. Super high quality (and expensive I'm sure) build that looks to have been well planned. Hill Country Hustler - Jesse James' Twin-Turbo Hemi Barnstormer #TENSEMA17 - Hot Rod Network

    1966 Chrysler 300 Resto-mod

Being a "Chevy boy" I've partaken in a few drive train swaps similar to what you're talking about and I can answer two of these questions: Where can I find specifications/dimensions for both 1966 frame and new Chrysler frame? A couple of tape measures and a pad to write on; and remember...

In terms of "classic car" restoration shops, what are they charging per hour?

A friend of mine runs a true restoration shop, and has been in business since the 80's, here in the piedmont area of NC and is charging $50-55/hr. He does quality work and stands by it. There are others in the area working around $35-45/hr claiming to do "restoration work", but you see a lot of...
