LED lighting for the rear of a ‘65 Chrysler

Just installed 6 inch oval LED's and where one of the installers said his LEDS had a white ground, my LEDs the black was the ground. The lights did not come with a sematic or directions and came from China. That is not a problem but it did cost me some time. I would bench check your lights...

LED lighting for the rear of a ‘65 Chrysler

Anxious to find out what lights you found. Went to Advanced, Tractor Supply and NAPA and they did not have what looked like yours.

LED lighting for the rear of a ‘65 Chrysler

I have been having problems with the light sockets and bulb replacements. Went to LED's and was told that I have to get a electronic flasher unit, but not sure my 65 has a flasher system. Did the truck/trailer leds just wire in? Sorry to be a pain.

LED lighting for the rear of a ‘65 Chrysler

I am afraid I lost you on the wiring of the taillights, brake lights and turn signals. Did you use the existing wiring? I didn't follow with the wiring. Can you give us some more detail?

    Ignition Coil Wiring

Problem solved. As I was putting in my new coil, I noticed the negative wire from the coil, just dropped off my splices. I did follow the loose wire up to the voltage regulator. Anyway, as I was putting everything together and reviewed my list from Loadrunner, I discovered the spark plug wire...

    Ignition Coil Wiring

I did, but the colors have faded. The only way I can do that for sure is to remove the plastic from the harness. I suspect that the other wire went to the regulator or the ballast, but since I went to a one wire alternator, there would be no need for that. I am going to install the new Flame...

    Electronic Trunk Lid Release

My 1965 Newport convertible had an electronic trunk lid release. The button was in the glove box. I am sure it was factory, however it could have been dealer installed. Does anybody know where I can find one? There are tons of aftermarket kits out there, but I would like to stick with Mopar.

    Ignition Coil Wiring

That is what I thought. I cannot figure why there is a wire off the negative going into the wiring harness. Both the distributor and the alternator are on the front of the engine, so all wires should be simple. Your reply has helped a lot. I think the lesson here is to buy a car that has...

    Ignition Coil Wiring

My 65 New Yorker came out of AZ. I checked out the wiring in the harness and the wiring is so brittle, I had to run heat shrink up the wire to cover the brakes, but I am still having short problems. If I take the Pos wire off the coil, where dies the other end go? I have checked the shop...

    Modern Engine in 53

So, forget that before coffee-stupid question. I believe Mopar can take care of that. However, I need a front stub. The current stub measures 57 inches hub to hub. Seems the Dodge Chargers do not have the full frame. Not sure if the Durandos or what other Mopars have a full frame. Any ideas?

    Modern Engine in 53

I am considering putting a modern engine is a 54 Chrysler. Are there any companies out there making wiring harness, ignitions and computers that are for the Mopar set up? I know the guys putting LS engines in cars of all makes buy wiring that eliminate all of the modern conveniences that we...

I am having a Sr. moment, so here it goes. Where are the fuses in a 1965 New Yorker?

    Power window switch and plug

I am thinking about doing the GM type. They appear to designed to avoid the corrosion. The nylon/plastic would still get brittle in 50 years. Hell, by that time I will be 118 years old. I just am puzzled as to take care of this problem. I have wrapped the one on the passenger's side with...

    Power window switch and plug

Does anybody have a source for the wiring harness plugs for the power window switch? There are hundreds of switches on the internet, but none for the plugs. I will even buy the switch and plug if I can find them.
