Heater valve - I guess it still looks stock?

A ball valve would be less likely to fail. Secure this it the inner fender, paint it black. I have removed a couple of those chrome screw valves, seized up tight and dripping.

    AC seal list.

Thanks for the info. I may buy a master seal kit SAE, then what I don't use donate to my old school AC shop. They have been helpful with other projects this year. Were you able to replace all your O rings with that kit?

My car has one conversion fitting, black square o rings and the oil in compressor looks clean light yellow.. I found the leak, it is at the compressor to discharge connection. Newer synthetic compressor oil compatibility with R12 Freon.

Would there be a way to tell what oil is in the system? Also, has anyone seen a source for the sticky foam like insulation that goes around the expansion valve?

Opinions on converting from R12 to R134?

Does anyone know about this stuff. I bought it maybe 15 years ago at Carlisle, I think some cold beverages were down and I got talking to a supposed AC pro/snake oil sales tech. I just went through the chem cabinet and there sits 6 cans.
