    Clay bar is super easy and very effective for smooth paint. Put your hand in a plastic shopping bag, a thin one. Then lightly caress your paint, you will be amazed at how dirty paint is before claying. I use the plastic food handler disposable gloves as I clay to find what I missed. Don't forget...

    I have had wagons with and without roof racks. I would not install a rack on a wagon that did not come with one, due to noise and fuel mileage. I also think a slick top fuselage wagon looks great smooth.

    Rust never sleeps, keep the solid car and part the rust box. As stated above, straiten as much as possible before cutting for new panel from rust car. Your idea sounds good.

    My wagon has the Aero-foil blades, my Imperial are Trico stainless steel. My Swinger is the same as Imperial. Second Imperial is Stainless steel. Customers 70 sSports Satellite is Stainless, etc.... I have never seen a blade painted to look stainless. I not biting.

    There should be no paint. The blades should be stainless steel, just like all the blades on the 7 cars here. I will look out for refills.

    For the thick sound deadener I use a pneumatic needle scaler, colder the better. On a C body I would but it back after the restoration, to help with quiet smooth ride. There is also the thinner rust protection, black thin tar stuff. that washes off pretty good with varsol and stiff brushes. Also...
