    They were soaked and the rust was dissolved. Then sand blasted. They have had a hard life.

    Has anyone used bed liner or some think paint to fill in pits on control arms? I just painted mine with primer and black rustolem and it looks like crap.

    In general, it is nice to know which parts where bare, painted, or plated. As I am doing the complete stub frame, I might as well paint what was supposed to be painted and do not over do it.

    #1 were the tie rod sleeves originally painted or coated? Mine look too good to have been bare metal.

    What is the current State-of-the-Art Anti-Rust paint?

    I have used KBS encapsulator and think that stuff is great. For smaller parts that I have been sanding down, but cannot get all the rust off I have been using this. Then spray primer, then spray paint. I don't know how it lasts yet, but the converter seems to work better than others I have tried.

    Thanks Giant, I used the Ford and found it a match and much cheaper! This is my original paint valve cover. Half old, half Ford paint.
