    uuuuuuh - whatabout Chryslyer C-bodies???

I'm a firm believer in 'there is always another way'. However, the application that is causing this problem is a mix of aftermarket parts. There are unlimited aftermarket parts out there. We designed the radiator to be a direct C-body fit and appearance (stamped tanks) including being...

Fitment & performance Trial on MOP753A Radiator on 1966 Chrysler Newport

If you are ok with the inlet being in a different position, I think that's the way to go. I really think all you need is that extra volume. We'll all be anxious to hear the results. I'm sending you a quick PM with ordering details.

Fitment & performance Trial on MOP753A Radiator on 1966 Chrysler Newport

This topic is pretty old. In re-reading, I don't see anything mentioned about a taller core. I'm also not sure 65polara ever supplied us with that sample. Members have been using both our 22" and 26" rads for the C-body. We just haven't figured out the 22" oem shroud fitment yet.

Fitment & performance Trial on MOP753A Radiator on 1966 Chrysler Newport

As far as fitting the 22" unit in your car, that's not an issue and the trans lines should match up pretty close. Our radiator is deeper than yours so the trans lines have to get pushed back a bit. That might require putting an extra 's' bend to create some space. Going to a 26" radiator...

    uuuuuuh - whatabout Chryslyer C-bodies???

Thanks for reaching out! I'll answer your questions below; 1. MOP757A is the biggest, highest volume stock fitting aluminum radiator you can possibly put in there. So if that radiator doesn't cool your car properly, you have another problem! ;) However I would also ask you to consider...

    Cold Case Factory Rebate

This IS an ad! but I'm hoping most of you will be ok with it since we are the sponsor of this forum. :) Cold Case is running a factory rebate until the end of February. Find your best price and then get $50 back on a kit and $25 back on just the radiator. You can go directly to the...

Fitment & performance Trial on MOP753A Radiator on 1966 Chrysler Newport

I believe we already have a solution for that radiator if you are going to run a full kit. What we had hoped to do is make a correct one that you could run the OEM fan shroud with. At 500hp, you start to get to a point where the electric fan kit can do a better job than the mechanical...

Fitment & performance Trial on MOP753A Radiator on 1966 Chrysler Newport

ah! That was another problem we did have. Our new units are suppose to be coming with the better valve without the o-ring. I guess a few old ones have slipped passed QA. Very sorry.

I'd say in the last year we've had 2 that this happened with? Very sorry. It is probably the Teflon tape that got loose in there. Again I'm very sorry. That valve is a nice brass 1/4" NPT oem replacement.

    74 Monaco Fit

It's possible whoever made the chart decided to end it at 1974. It's very rare that a radiator is designed for a production vehicle for one year only. 1974-1978 makes more sense to me. Also, I did see several other 28" application in 1973 and 1974. So that's encouraging.

    74 Monaco Fit

great pics! Geez I wish everyone could do this! If I had this info for all models, we'd have every radiator available. Do you have the original shroud? Can you lay it on top of the radiator where it should attach and take a couple of pics? Let me have a better look and do some...

Fitment & performance Trial on MOP753A Radiator on 1966 Chrysler Newport

1965 and 1966 is a start. For the 26" version, it turned out to be 1966-1970. So hopefully other members will be able to contribute and fill in some of the blanks. :)

So what is the year range on this C-body 22" shroud? Is there a later version of the 22" shroud that was made between 66 and 70? Remember, we're not trying to make our radiator fit the exact way the original did. We just need an OEM looking 22" shroud. We can make the radiator fit the shroud.

Canada? What part? We're coming out to Iola Wisconsin in about a month and we'll be in Syracuse NY in the Summer.

I just checked ebay for any 22" radiators and/or fan shrouds for C-body. Only found one radiator and no shrouds.

Fitment & performance Trial on MOP753A Radiator on 1966 Chrysler Newport

We'd really like to have a legit 22" C-body radiator and a shroud. That's really the only way we can confidently make them correctly. We dont' need to ruin or keep the parts. We'd just need to 'borrow' them for a while! :)

Fitment & performance Trial on MOP753A Radiator on 1966 Chrysler Newport

Unfortunately, this would be outside of our comfort zone. Adding stamped slotted side caps would be cost prohibitive for us and then for you as the consumer. We are primarily a performance radiator company. Although we like to make our radiators have that original look and we want owners...

Fitment & performance Trial on MOP753A Radiator on 1966 Chrysler Newport

Yes, we're going to work on that but it's going to be difficult to do so without an original. Otherwise it's going to be difficult to decide whether the 2" should be added to the top or the bottom. A mistake would through off all the hole spacing for the firewall. Agree, those with...

Fitment & performance Trial on MOP753A Radiator on 1966 Chrysler Newport

This is one of the best features of a large 2 row radiator. Because there are less tubes but more surface area, there is also more space for more fluid. The additional 2" on a new bigger version could make another 5 degree difference. Thanks for your help on this. I was a little...

Fitment & performance Trial on MOP753A Radiator on 1966 Chrysler Newport

Wow, that's a pretty thorough review! We are already discussing the trans line spacing, the height difference and the fan shroud bracket changes. Since we already did all of this for the 26" C-body model, I think regardless of the popularity, it kind of makes sense to finish the job and...
