My wife had an 81 with auto. It was her first car and she loved it.

I'd be curious about the demographic of the buyers. I suspect its a very small group of the same people mostly boomers. It makes me think these items are not a long term investment since in 20 years the bulk of the demand will be 6' under.

There's likely only a handful of people on the planet willing to pay that amount.

The potential market for this car must be pretty narrow. Seems to be well done but I don't get the end result.

As we go way off topic I'll join in. In my late teens this was one of the few small cars to turn my head. The v6 version.
