    300-H HURST nerd stuff...

So if the seats were changed out years ago, is he just lucky they put the original build sheet back in the “new” seats”? Seems a little odd that they knew enough to save the “special” build sheet, but didn’t mind changing the seats. Just wondering.

    Power antenna conversion

I take my 7/16 wrench and just remove my antenna when I put the cover on. Takes less than a minute. Disclaimer: I am not taking the cover on and off every day. Usually when I store it for the winter.

Meet Regina FQ3, a 1970 Polara convertible who turns 51 today

For my original hangers, At one point I had a tire cut up and had found some of the big rivets on a corvette site. My plan was to rebuild mine. But I acid etched the steel and then soaked the rubber in ammonia which seems to reinvigorate it. Still hanging strong, so haven’t rebuilt them. So if...

    the real 70 GT and S/23 #s

To this day in a modern manufacturing world it is difficult to get the combination of options. The importance of the individual options is usually key for ordering components from suppliers so the options they needed were on hand. Also as mentioned above it was used for accounting and possibly...

Dammit !! I forgot to get the camera out of the car in the middle. I love these photos. It would make a great large wall print.

    Yep, I agree...

We would hit the midnight matinee after the 3.2 bars would close. Love the soundtrack, I used to have the cassette of the soundtrack. Probably one of the things that turned me on to Sammy Hagar’ solo stuff. Actually the other day I looked to seeing if it was streaming anywhere. I can watch it...

    Top Speed/Comfortable Cruising Speed

On my’68 Polara 383 2bbl, 75-80 seems to be its happy place. No problem getting up between 90 and 100. Above 100 it floats a lot more. In my case in particular above 85 Or with a head wind, the right side of my hood seems to flutter more than I like. Not sure if the skin has delaminated from the...

    Poppy, my first C-body

I believe the company @QQE is on this board. If I am not mistaken they are the original manufacturer of the replacement cat whiskers. He helped me on the rear window sweeps on my ‘68 Polara.

    Engine noise help

A couple of choices. Some of the plastic seal drivers found at harbor freight could work, but they also have bushing drivers that are metal. Or get a threaded rod. Take the bushing to a hardware store and find about 2-3 washers that fit inside the bushing with minimal movement, then find about...

    C body networking

Your list isn’t too bad. If you can whittle down the list while keeping the car drivable you will have much more enjoyment. In my opinion the more you can learn to do yourself the more enjoyment and pride you will have in your car. Also by learning these things you will be way more confident...

Meet Regina FQ3, a 1970 Polara convertible who turns 51 today

I few years ago I bought and returned a few master cylinders (drum brake) until I finally found a match to the original with the V shape hold down. The pictures were always the correct one, but what showed up was what you pictured above.

1970 Plymouth Sport Fury V10 Swap Build Thread

Hope everyone is on track for a good recovery. My wife came down with symptoms the day after Thanksgiving. It wore her down. Symptoms (except no taste or smell) are gone, but still very tired. I may have dodged the bullet as I got boostered that Tuesday before. I didn’t get it, but my body was...

    convertible top mechanism - service

You are correct, I modified my post above. Probably comes from seeing so many “F” when trying to find mine. Positive terminal should be towards the rear of the car closest to the fender. Negative should be on the rearward side closest to the engine.

    convertible top mechanism - service

US Group 27F and 24F were originally used. Small block used lower capacity group 24 650cca I believe. 383 2bbl no a/c used the larger group 24F at 750 CCA. A/C BIg block cars, 383 4bbl, 440 and all Canadian big blocks used the group27F. These were/are 850cca. With convertible fun I would not go...

    69 Fury Belt Molding Clips

Reproduction plastic clips that attach to the weld studs show up from time to time. They will look something like this. Hopefully someone with a 69 fury has a clip they can take a picture of. To get the right shape.
