^^^^^ I agree with all of this. My 70 calipers were pitted almost that bad. I honed the just enough to get them smooth. Ordered some new pistons and seals and they work fine.

Hi Dan, Looks like you are into another project on the convertible. I have put a bottle jack under the tie rod end to put pressure on the tapper and had good luck. If all else fails use the heat wrench. :) Did you get your top replaced over the winter? John

Is your 68 disc brakes or are you doing a conversion?

Should be fine with 4 or 4.5" backspacing. Your size of wheel will make a difference also.
