    Help No electrical power

I learned with my recent alternator woes one can get continuity through a nearly destroyed fusible if only one strand is hanging on, but it isn’t connected enough to carry a load. Get up close and personal with that fusible link and look for visible signs it may have blown.

    I've Got the No-Charge Blues

Tagging @cbarge here for his ammeter bypass thread. The best walk through on that thread. I don’t remember all the details, but the one 10 gauge wire to the battery is not enough.

As usual @amazinblue82 your teachings are sinking in. Thank you. With current 6” wheels, and assuming they are 0 offset, every inch I go wider on a new wheel, would increase the backspace 0.25” if staying at a 0 offset. This is jibing with what is on the wheels vintique website. Hoping...

Thanks @GOLDMYN! Do you happen to know what the current backspacing is on the stock wheels? And what the back spacing might need to be on a 7” or 8” wheel. The FSM has some details, but not the backspacing:

I very much appreciate the assist. I am convinced Magnum 500s are going to look great on my ‘68 300. I have 15” wheels because of the discs up front. I am pretty sure I have stock 6” wide wheels now. With this shift to new wheels, what is the widest I could get away with but still fit within...

    What is your daily driver?

My ‘daily driver’ is a 2015 F-150. I reluctantly bought the small 2.7 liter 6 cylinder engine, but I have been quite impressed. I don’t tow much with it so I didn’t need a lot of power, but man that twin turbo on that little engine is a blast. Working from home now I really only drive it a...

Thanks for that link. 154 pages, whoa! I was hoping to short circuit the process in the hopes some fellow ‘68 owners might lend a hand. Never hurts to get more slab pics on this thread, right? Two birds with one stone!

Any of you slabbies out there have Magnum 500s on your ride? Can you share some pics of the broadside of your ride?? If you happen to have 17 inchers on, that would be even better. If you could post your wheel and tire size it would be much appreciated. I was reading some posts about old...
