    Adding fluid to convertible's reservoir (1970 300)

I used a small reusable picnic style condiment bottle (think squeezy plastic with a spout) then pushed on a short piece of tubing. Filled that with ATF to fill the reservoir horizontally. Ran the top up and down as instructed and would top off as needed until there were no more bubbles. The...

    Brake light bulbs

I used the same ones. Like you, once I got a good ground they worked. I had to reverse the wires in the connector though (IIRC). I love that the still have the old school ‘click-clack’ sound when the blinkers are engaged.

    Brake light bulbs

I went through and did a lot of LED bulb swaps in my ‘68 300. I even did the instrument cluster because I needed to pull it for a speedometer fix. I could not be happier with how bright everything is. I did swap out the flasher relay with a grounded one, but it wasn’t a tough task (had to...

Can this solve my fuel gauge issue? Ground strap.

Once I grounded my tank, my fuel gauge become much more reliable. Still an issue with it not climbing all the way up to full, but I think that issue is with the gauge itself, not the sender in the tank. Between a functioning fuel gauge and a working odometer, I am much more confident that I...

    Hood insulation

I am looking to redo the hood insulation in my ‘68 300. Is there any advantages to using the molded insulation over the fiberglass one? There seems to be a big gap in price for the different products (not to mention the shipping). But I am willing to pay more if there is a performance advantage...

    A couple questions

I have a FITech EFI on my 68 300. While it does indeed need some attention from time to time, it is way better than the old carb I had on there that was nothing but problems. I had the engine completely overhauled a few years ago which included the EFI and electronic ignition. If I was to do it...

What do you do for cup holders?

mine has flexible ‘tabs’ that you bend to “hug” the hump. I suppose that’s where they got this models name from. The top of the tabs are also wrapped in the same color matching vinyl. The bottom has that non-slip material you’d use on a rug on a wood floor. I do like mine because it looks OEM...

What do you do for cup holders?

I got mine from cup holders plus. I think the model was called ‘hump hugger’. I requested swatches of the blue vinyl and found a near perfect match to the new upholstery I did in the front seat. Got one for the kids in the back too.
