You could take the starter and have it tested for free at a parts store like Advance. If it checks out, the next thing to check is the compression and timing. Getting familiar with the Chrysler electronic ignition system is pretty simple and a distributor, wiring and ECU is about $200.

But with a 360 converter, right?

That’s right. These turn signals and brake lights will have you chasing your tail because of that ****! When you see dimmer than you expect lights that’s usually a good sign it’s getting ground through a bulb turned resistor.

Follow up…I took the brake light switch out, cleaned,tested(good) and re-installed it. No help. While messing around and thinking about it they suddenly started working basically on their own! Go figure. I think everything on the car electrical works now. But i cant check the temperature or gas...

I agree 100% that fixing the brake lights will not fix the signal. But, if the brake light switch would send power to the brake lights… and the left brake light came on…but, the right parking light came on… then it would be safe to assume that somewhere along the line some wires got messed up!
