I don't know if you realize but there are outfits that the guys will recommend here that will convert your original radio for AM/FM Bluetooth /outputs for an external amp and the whole nine yards. That way it still looks stock but up to date internals.

Interesting with the Glycerin, never heard of that. I would guess the dash pad too then? I was warned years ago not to use Armor All because it actually dried up vinyl. Is that true?

You can have your stock one converted. It will be Am/FM with Bluetooth so your phone can be the cd player and it will still look stock.
