I have heard of horror stories that started out like this. Many a Mopar has been burned to ruin by ammeter, and wiring fires caused by what you are considering doing and doing it incorrectly. Beware and do it correctly if you go through with this.

I didn't know off the shelf zinc separated out with time..

VR1 10-30 conventional oil for me .

No matter what the oil he decides on ,with a flat tappet cam he really must have zinc I would think.
