I have a set of 235.70.15 tires on 5.5in rims now on my GT and they sit fine, I think a 7in rim may be a bit much for 235/70s.

MM sounds like the rubber seal that separates these two reservoirs in the bore is bleeding fluid from one to the other under braking. I would say you are up for a rebuild kit, or simpler, put a new master cylinder in.

The major difference between 1970 to 71 is the splitter block bolted to the chassis found below the master cylinder was changed to a different unit. I can check tomorrow with my cars if visually it looks like the earlier lines can be made to work.

I checked the mount holes of the adapter bracket on this unit and it matches up perfectly with the original firewall hole on a non power brake car, I also measured the length of the rod that goes through the firewall, the kit includes three different length units and the shortest one is less...

I would be interested to see how this spacer works, it would be good to see if the truck spindles can be easily retrofitted into our 65-73 cars. 74 cbody car spindles will not go into the earlier cars.

74 disk brake assys wont fit a 69 as the lower ball joint in 74 cars is screwed into the lower control arm whereas the 69 to 73 cars have the lower ball joint mounted to the spindle.

What disk brakes are you installing? That spindle is a drum brake unit.

Yup, look like Cbody to me, and most probably 69 to 72, maybe 73. B-body units are only slightly larger than A body. If you can measure center to center, the holes for where the lower ball joint bolts into and let me know I can get back to you after checking mine then.

Hmm, well the calipers look right to me, certainly the same as the setups I have in my cars. Something is screwy for sure, but unless we have detail pics of a setup already working, I think we cant see it.

I'm going to hazard a guess, but to me, it looks like you haven't bottomed out the piston in the caliper yet.

Seeing how much thread you have left in the adjusting screw for play there I would say the internals of your box are pretty good. I would be inclined to buy a seal kit for it from RockAuto.com as that would work out about a tenth of the price. Maybe worth a shot first?

I would keep the 11 x 2.5 in brakes on the 8 3/4 and put that in. Dana 60 is overkill even for a small block stroker and is a bit heavier than the 8 3/4.
