    Any Electrical Gurus Out There

Sounds similar to a delay-off on the light circuits. Plenty of separate modules that do this. Most with crappy instructions.

Which Battery to get at Costco

With a non stock tray you can just barely fit in a group 65. Thats what I have. Its longer and wider but shorter than a grp 27. I had a good used one from an Explorer and was determined to make it fit. 850CCA You can make your own tray without much trouble. 65 cost a little less than 27 too.

    Exterior LED lighting upgrade

For 1157s I've had good luck with these well reviewed LEDs - I bought all the colors. But I couldn't say if they are reliable when used in a daily driver. In terms of quality and reliability it looks like COB (chip on board) type LEDs to be better and they are now making 1157s with this tech...

Bluetooth Addition - What would you want.

yes, i have one of those too and if fm is not required this is a great bluetooth only amp with 3.5mm aux input. Then its just about getting it clean power and mounting it. And of course a usb charger somewhere.

Bluetooth Addition - What would you want.

So sounds like the original working head unit was set up as an aux input to the new head unit. In your case he left both old and new powering their own speakers. Thinking that a LOC which converts speaker level to low level input could be used (or not even needed ) to convert the original HU...

Bluetooth Addition - What would you want.

Adding a system to my fury is in the works and Bluetooth connection to my phone will be main connection. I'm getting a few versions (so cheap) of this combo plus a few extra boards to test. For example this board (some videos and reviews are on you-tube) has Bluetooth connection, can be hooked...

    Headlight Relays with Hidden Headlights

They make 8ga female spade terminals that would fit both 12 ga. Maybe minor strand trimming. And these too

    Hot Hot courtsey lights

What is interesting about these is that most if not all the 12v leds say that they are dimmable, which usually is not the case. The dash #194 bulbs are this way too. mmmm

    Headlight Relays with Hidden Headlights

Yes, the relay plus fuse/breaker application is my interest. This is a better name in this configuration. Picker PC798-1A-C2-12C-N-X 30A Automotive Plug-In Relay | Waytek

Plug n play headlight harness upgrade

This stuff is pretty good at hiding bright wiring without looking cheap. Like the hard plastic corrugated stuff. Alternatively I think vinyl paint would also work. I used it on some similar muli conductor car wiring and on home romex. Does not flake off. But will wear off if it moves around.

Anyone remove the thumb roller face of a 1967-68 radio chassis? If so, do you think it would interface a modern radio chassis?

Marine radios meant for a console are compact and have all the modern connections including an amplifier. Here is an example that has a square face but most are round. A lot of other options. So you keep your factory radio for looks and find a place for this somewhere. While compact hey are not...

    Exterior LED lighting upgrade

I wonder if 2 Leds in series would be enough resistance. If so you could add a second one up under the dash for a general footwell illumination. If you need 3 then both footwells. But to address the source of the issue perhaps a replacement delay timer that does not rely on resistance. I have...

    ATTENTION: weirdest Stuff going on

The only time I had that many strange electrical problems at once was when I put a double contact bulb (1157) into a socket that need a single contact (1156) and resulted somehow to a backfeed of power through the ground system. Nothing fried but when I hit the brake pedal like 5 things started...

    Wiring Harness connector straps.

    Wiring Harness connector straps.

They are definitely available...or you could make your own with some black vinyl/mtrl and trim clips. That is what I did. I'll never run out.

    Replaced Ammeter with Voltmeter

Using the original face does seem more simple and neater. I suppose I wanted the marks to mirror the voltmeter marks. In retrospect, probably not worth the squeeze. Now I'm getting greedy but I want a new speedo decal that replaces "Alternator" with "Volts" or similar.

    Replaced Ammeter with Voltmeter

I really need a decal instead of freehanding it. I may redo when I replace the clock with a tach which will require a much better look.

    Replaced Ammeter with Voltmeter

At this point you could bolt it down and be done. But as you can see the needle isn’t long enough and I didn’t like the curved number scale. I wanted it to look more like the other gauges…no numbers. For the needle I had an old rusted ammeter and I clipped off the needed and glued it on top of...

    Replaced Ammeter with Voltmeter

I’m redoing my gauge cluster on my 69 fury and replaced the ammeter with a voltmeter. You will need either a Sunpro CP7985 or the clone a Bosch FST7985. Same Bosch here too. Sunpro is cheaper. I got the Bosch. Both of these have a needle that drops from the top. That is important to make the...
