I have used autolites in mopars in the past. In fact I worked in a Texas state facility back in the late 80's in the motor pool with a fleet of dodge trucks and vans and we used autolites then. I may give them a try now again in my 440.

My 68 440, had the middle plug, all 8 installed. I purchased plugs on the right, what is called for, and the one on the left, set of 8 is what came with the car. Which one should the correct plug? All stock with point, condenser ignition still. Any imput please.

I know when I pulled cover on my 68 440 there was no slinger on it, put new gears and chain and put on a new oil slinger just because.

I believe that is who I contacted. The shipping is another concern unless I just drive down and hand deliver it! Not all that far from where I live. Im trying to keep everything as original as I can with this car.

Im not sure if I will replace my tank or not. I found a place in houston that will split my tank, clean reseal and recoat for about $600 but nearly 6 week wait. Mine is pretty rust pitted inside. I have read sometimes after markets dont always fit right,

Can someone give me a heads up as to where I can get a decent sending unit and the tool to remove it for my 68 300. This my next issue, ive got to remove my tank and have it cleaned or replace it.

I did not have anyway to hold it and torgue it back on but I think couple of impact hits will be good.

I took mine off with electric impact and when I got tight as I could with rachet, I gave about 3 hits with the impact.

I ran Amsoil 10-40 in both my 300's.

I know in texas a lot more places are carrying non ethanol fuel, mostly 90 oct. Ran it in my last 300. Didnt have any issues with it, was only few cents higher. Was a buckees just a few miles away. Plan on running it in this 300,.. as soon as its running!

I worked on another 300, 69, that Ihad years ago that ended up being junk, but I remember pulling out bolts and got coolant. Maybe exhaust manifold bolts, dont remember. I just want to have to pull this back apart because I missed something! I will pick some thread sealer up and finish up. Going...

Should I do all that hold the water pump housing to front of the block?

Im in process of putting 440 back together, can someone tell me specifically which bolts go in the water jackets when reinstalling the waterpump housing or should I silicone all bolts going back to be on the safe side.
