    My block was red so maybe someone just painted it, didnt like blue?!? If Im not mistaken there was a 170, 198 and the 225 motors. Dont know the years used in which car.

    I owned one of those about 30 yrs ago here in texas. It was a 2 door automatic. 198 cu inch. Moved pretty dang good to! Kinda wish I still had it now.

    Wish I would have ckd better before I put everything together! Hopefully I can clean my old one up and use it. Major rust build up where pump impeller turns. Hoping it will clean up!

    Thanks john. I got the old hose nipples out of my old one, temp switch still stuck. I may get mine sand blasted and ck it out real good, if I can just reuse it. Didnt want to do a bunch of modifying if I can help it! Im gettin to old for this kind of work. Always appreciate you!

    That makes sense, I have seen that style on some other engines. A new grommet came with this one which is whats on mine. Had a heck of a time getting out the old one, hard as a rock! Always thankful for y'alls help.

    I just received new OEM pcv valve, can anyone tell me what the nut is for? There isnt one one the old one, I dont see the purpose.

    Thats what I was needing to know. The instructions said around around the ports, old one didnt show any. I guess when the bolts are torqued the metal ridges press flat?
