Friend of mine just strapped it to this with a load of gravel and let it roll for a couple hours with changing angles. Result according to him was very satisfying. you have to choose the right size of Stones to not damage the tank. Let me know if you Need a bit more Details, I can ask.

Did you open the carb up and take out parts of the acc. pump System ? I'm completely unfamiliar with this Setup, still have to get a Manual, Euro carbs I have are way different, so just trying to hint. I had issues with different types of a Rochester Varajet concerning the acc. system, but...

Points are not what they used to be Quality wise. I only use perfectly preserved NOS.

I personally never had Problems with cars parked but old grease also seems to tend to resinify. Had this with tie rods with grease Fittings. You pressed in new grease but it didn't get to the Joints as they were blocked by the old grease. Went bad within a few hundred miles.

It's usually even recommended to disconnect the Computers for iginition/fi with These newer Jobs. I forgot that more often than once though and never had any damages.

I had success welding a nut up on the stump, just filling the hole up with a strong spot weld, then try to screw it out while the bolt is still hot from welding.

Why rubber, don't see any risks for pregnancy. ;)
