Yeah, I'm sorry this is kind of a much ado about nothing post, but really, it's rare enough to see a ForwardLook car much less a superbly cared for convertible! I was so amped, I had to post
I got a little more than a flash, fortunately for me. But I'm not one to whip out a cell while driving. Sorry! More than anything, I just wanted to find out if it is a member that owns. Older white gent--late 50s or early 60s with a like aged woman. Had a Silver Fox (a la Exner) look to him.
Coming off a strenuous 12.5 hour shift (ah, a nurse's life), I got the ultimate wake up in the form of a '58 Dodge vert on Crooks Road in Clawson. Is this a member's car? Damn! It was absolutely sensational. Burnt orange sweep-spear over a light orange body.
I've always had a special spot for DeSoto because my Dad was responsible for their auto show exhibit designs in the Forward Look years. I often wondered if Highland Park had had some vision, that they might not have kept DeSoto with designs tailored to their fleet business. DeSotos had a rep of...

2. 1957 Chrysler New Yorker--a close second.
3. 1960 Chrysler--no other finned car of any make made fins look so integral a part of the design
4. 1959 Dodge Coronet--Mr Angry Eyes. Love it.
5. 1959 Plymouth...
Love it, love it, love it. If you asked me to name the single, no-doubt-about-it, coolest looking car of all time, it would be the '57 De Soto. I do prefer the Fireflte, but even a Firesweep excites!
Not mine. British Columbia. $7.5K Canadian is $6K USD! Six and manual 4 door makes that price not unusual. But how often do you find a clean '57?
