Can someone tell the name of those rims?

yes, I am german, too. When you pass the Vollabnahme §21 for the first time you have a relativly easy choice with wheels and tires. Getting anythingin into the paperwork later on is more difficult. Your wheels and tires are way off from the factory. My guess is that nothing was adjusted for...

Can someone tell the name of those rims?

RWL tires were not available back in the 1968 model year. You can probably ask for a Datenblatt in germany and ask the TÜV to put different tires in your paperwork. You should ask your preferred TÜV station how to get the original type size tires into the paperwork Carsten

Can someone tell the name of those rims?

lots of things not original to your car. Hier is a link to the 1968 Plymouth Fury data book pages used by the salesman back in the day The 1970 Hamtramck Registry - 1968 Plymouth Dealership Data Book - Fury To know if your car came with certain options from the factory like disc brakes you...

    When are tires too old?

Hi Chris, thanks for your observation I never had a bias ply blow up. The oldest ones I drove are from 1971 (still have them). Some of them 30 year when driving. No issues. None ever failed and I drive mostly bias ply. Radials are a differnt story. Had two blown tires. One was a 8 year old...

which hopefully will not be within the next 30 years You have to fix some cars before you go my friend. And I would miss you a lot Carsten

    finally they have them

Disagree. First of all the looks are not totally correct as the sharp edge between the sidewall and the cap of the tire is missing. And who cares about Firestone tires? Main supplier for Mopar was Goodyear. Carsten

Suggestions: 15" Magnum 500's for 68 Fury III

I guess I need to talk th Sigmund Freud. If a survivor has an old sticker: I wont touch it. Once the original owner put a towel on the dash of a 1970 Sport Suburban to protect it from cracking. I couldn't remove it as it has been on there for a long time. (and as soon as you just touched it...

Suggestions: 15" Magnum 500's for 68 Fury III

15" Ford wheels are pretty close to a chevy engine IMHO When buying a nearly perfect survivor it is a commitment to me to keep it as original looking as it left the factory. If you want to personalize your car: You shouldn't have bought a survivor In my opinon it looks GREAT with the full...

69 Imperial - Whitewalls or not, and "bigger size" ?

Hi Jeff, no need for an Edelbrock if you have an original Carter. Only the original Holley carbs can be a pain and need to be swapped sometimes as they are extremely difficult to repair if possible at all. Kasper, don't think that all purists don't use their cars. My black Imperial was driven...

69 Imperial - Whitewalls or not, and "bigger size" ?

Hey Steve, you don't want to sell any of your nice cars to Germany anymore? And not to the Netherlands either? But watch out, Kasper and his Imperial are from Denmark ;o))) And I could show you some pics from big wheeled cars from Finland. Can I buy a couple of faded blue cars which need help...

69 Imperial - Whitewalls or not, and "bigger size" ?

I would change it into: We like the other guy (Ross=stormer). It does not mean that the majority liked what he did to his Imperial. or would do the same if it would be our Imperial. If you can't say something nice: be quiet. In this case Kasper asked for opinions. And got them Carsten
