    Sounds like your distributor is shot, then. I was trying to get a friend's car running (with a similar problem) some time ago, no luck... It turned out a Hall something (maybe pickup) was broken inside the distributor. Could be the same thing with your car?

    I had once a poor man's switch in the place I thought no one would look... Under the passenger's seat, attached to springs. It was an easy access for the driver if you knew where to put your hand into. All went well until a friend of mine who weighs obo 130 Kg's (obo 290 lbs) sat on the seat...

    He got a kick from it, didn't he? Anyway, if the spark is just a spark with no full power, it could be anything from the ignition lock to spark plugs... I would check the bulk connector as Will suggested and take a good look under the hood AND dash if there is some bad wiring...

    That is a strange problem if you really got a strong spark and fuel coming to carb... Was your starter cranking any weaker than usual?

    I believe it's the original set up since my 300 has the same thing. I use lower amp bulbs in the center to keep them as bright as the others...
